Excellent service — attentive with a nice attitude, no lip curls. Food very good — not totally blowing my head off but good quality at about the right price. Nice atmosphere — good place to take your parents if you are trying to impress them. Best thing was the cheese — impressive trolley selection and amazing cheese too!

Wow! Great food! Perfect size portions! A bit on the pricy side but its worth it… fresh fish, fresh meat! Great place! The Manager there is very nice and the staff are fantastic!

After reading good reviews me and a friend went for dinner at Albert’s Table. From outside it looked much like a many other modern European restaurants. Once we entered there was something not quite right about the décor, cheap mixed with expensive, style mixed with oops. Nothing offensive mind you just not(by any means) stunning. Any way that’s a side point, we are here food the food and that’s where we shall now go. I started with mackerel, crisply cooked, flavours that melted in my mouth! Fantastic! My friend had the pork pie and chutney, the pie was a lot lighter than expected, still tasty. But the winner in this dish was the chutney! Oh it had some umph, not overpowering but full of flavours, I’m salivating at the thought! Obviously, we were now looking forward to our mains! Alas, mine was a disappointment. Lamb and sweetbreads. The sweetbreads were subtle and delicate, quite lovely. However, the main fair, the lamb, was dry and cold. I have no idea how they managed to ruin this, I was thoroughly dismayed My friends sole redeemed them slightly as this was nice, but no one like such food envy all the way through mains. I would consider going here again, it seems good value and the lamb could have been a one off mistake On a side note, an average wine selection, and average service(1 waiter FANTASTIC [the super tall guy], the others borderline useless)

I was surprised to see that 1 star review and can’t believe it was for the same restaurant, so it prompted me to leave one of my own. I’ve been to Albert’s Table many times and can’t praise it enough. It is my first choice for an exceptional meal out in Croydon and have always been warmly welcomed. The service is professional and never overbearing. Yes, it can be expensive for a full three course and wine etc but there is also a set menu available early evenings whch gives you the chance to try out the food at a reasonable cost. The quality and presentation of the food is wonderful and the varied menu excites me enough to keep returning. I am already looking for an excuse to go there again as I write this

Diamonds Are Forever One of reasons I love living Southside is the variety of cuisine available right here on my doorstep. Brighton Road is like the Tin Pan Alley of food from Indian to Thai, Mediterrian to British. British cuisine has experienced something of a revival in the last decade with the likes of Jamie Oliver and Nigella Lawson, reminding us of revamped family favourites and encouraging us to get back into the kitchen. BF Aisha surprised me with a birthday dinner at Albert’s Table. Not only is it one of my favourite restaurants, it’s just 10mins away from my house, which is an excellent arrangement when you know the wine and laughter will flow! Executive Chef Joby Wells who previously took me to food heaven when he worked at the Orrery, didn’t disappoint. I had the local Hereford beef with the type of hand cooked chips you dream about served with mushrooms and onions ! Aisha had the pan fried salmon, served with a danity smoked salmon soufflé, artichokes, asparagus and a sensational hazelnut dressing — she didn’t stop smiling. We both wanted the treacle tart, but decided it would be a crime for either of us to miss out on a cheeky delight of the rich, super moist chocolate fondant, paired with vanilla ice cream and swirls of chocolate sauce. 2 amazing courses for just £22.00, 3 courses: £27.50 (excluding a diverse selection of very affordable wines) Diamonds may be a divas best friend, but Albert’s Table is one gem I need to share with everyone.
