Best seating in a coffee shop in ages, starbucks is replacing comfy seats with hard shared benches which I boycot, this Costa has loads of sofas and soft comfy seats. The downside it gets totally swamped with yummie mummies, screaming kids, riding scooters, breast feeding etc. And it get swamped with teenage school kids who take loads of seats eating stuff they bought in pound shop… But it’s big enough to usually get a seat… Coffee is so so but not bad, can take ages to get served as it gets swamped and often only 1 person working, Tables are never bused, and full of other people’s left overs, they should put a bus station, encourage people to clean up after themselves(they do in mcDs) But best seating on the high St, so I go back often…

There was only one girl at the till, although it wasn’t too busy, and she was very pleasant. However, the woman who brought us our sandwiches after they were toasted was a bit rude. As the drinks weren’t ready(and weren’t even being made) when we paid, we assumed they would be brought over with the sandwiches. When she brought them over, we asked about the drinks and she very rudely told us that it wasn’t her job to get them. I’ve worked as a waitress before, and if I spoke to customers in that way I would have expected to be fired. Didn’t catch her name, but she was a small woman with a foreign accent who wore a hijab and glasses.

Only one girl working at the till and she was swamped. The hot chocolate was good but there absolutely no caramel in the caffe caramel! I also ordered 3 lattes for my friends and they all complained that it tasted like she had put caramel in them. Disappointed. They also close at 7 now???

The most comfy chain coffee shop I’ve visited in a long time. As it’s a brand new shop, I’m sure a lot of thinking has gone into the decorating and it pays off. The shop is big, but is sectioned off to give it a smaller feel. It’s well lit, bright and colorfully decorated. It mostly has cushioned chairs and sofas in a retro style that gives it a bit of a 60’s feel. A nice mix of low coffee tables and dining tables is a nice touch, giving options if you for example wish to sit and work on a laptop or just lounge with a newspaper on your lap. As for the coffee; well, it’s still Costa :)
