Not so far from Liverpool near Chester sits this award winning Gastro-pub waiting to be discovered by foodies from around the region. This is the type of place you luckily stumble across on your day trips to Chester or on the way back from trip to Wales, a sanctuary if you will. Why not be one step ahead of the game, add it to your sat nav and have it in the back of your mind when you are driving on a sunday past Chester? The food is heavenly, there is a pleasant outside area to enjoy your ice cold beverage with some homely food on a bright sunny July afternoon. A family friendly venue there is plenty on offer for the kids with a kids menu. Sundays is naturally teaming with families in the afternoon, so bring your ear plugs because it might get bit rowdy. Now everyone knows I am an absolute suckerooo for Mediterranean food, and guess what there is a bit of Mediterranean influence on the food here as well. It’s as if all these amazing places and their proud owners can read my mind. Or perhaps the holiday trends over the last decade are reflecting on our choice of cuisine in the UK. Who knows, who cares the food is to die for… ok perhaps slight exageration(I wouldn’t die for some food… unless I was starving… anyway read on outside bracket please…)ITSGOOD, the food!!! I would recommend the Lamb Kofta Kebab with Rice, Salad & Mint Yogurt Dip. With the meaty goodness and substantial portion for under a tenner how can you complain? Even if you’re not that hungry you can be merry with a platter to share. Again rolling with the Mediterranean wind I would recommend the Mezze platter which comes with Kofta Kebab, Grilled Chicken Pitta with Turkish tomato Sauce, hummus & Yoghurt Dip, absolutely flavourtastic at under £15. I cannot recommend this Ring o Bells enough… BiIl Murray if you’re reading this and are ever in these neck of woods, you best give this place… a ring a ding ding!!!
