I’ve been aware of Noa Noa for years but it’s always been a place I’ve walked past as I’m not it’s target customer as I’m way under 50. I went there today with my mum to look for an outfit for her for my wedding. There were a number of lovely mother of the bride style dresses on display but they only stock one size in everything which is utterly pointless. My mum tried on two dresses which she needed a different size in and they didn’t have them, I know that my mum would have bought one of the dresses if they’d had it in her size so they lost out on £170 today. The shop itself needs updating, despite the clothes they sell being expensive the shop looks cheap. They could do with some plush carpets and changing room doors that you can’t look through. They also really need to re-educate their sales staff. I don’t know whether they’re afraid that you’re going to run off with arm fulls of their clothes or what but they don’t leave your second for a side. It’s incredibly off putting to have someone practically stood on your feet when you’re trying to casually browse through the clothes. My mother doesn’t want to have some random woman peering around the changing room door when she has her underwear on display to the world. The advice I’d offer to this shop is: re decorate, educate your staff to get out of the customer’s face and have more than one size of each dress in stock.

This shop has been around for years, and it seems to me that the clothes haven’t been updated much since it opened. This shop isn’t aimed at me, or other young, stylish women, and it is obvious that being trendy isn’t a high priority here. The clothes in this store are not very fashionable, however, they are pretty high quality and would probably suit a lot of older women, however, I feel that this store does assume that as we get older we start to care less about fashion, and this can’t be true for everyone. Despite the frumpy nature of the clothes, they are mostly tasteful and even elegant, and a lot of care is taken to present outfits properly and in a way that makes it easy for a customer to see how an outfit can be created from the various individual items available in the store. Most of the clothes are pretty formal, with hats available to match, and it is at least somewhere else for your grandmother to look for wedding outfits. It’s nicely laid out, with everything arranged in an aesthetically pleasing way, however, while I may not be old enough to judge accurately, I personally think that there are nicer clothes out there. I’m sure the majority of women would prefer BHS or M&S, but this store has endured for so many years that it must be doing something right.

I love Noa Noa, and have bought plenty of eveningwear and sweet summer outfits from them. They are hard to resist! Producing individually designed, well made clothes at exceptionally good prices compared to the commensurate offerings from the top end of the clothing chain shops, this Scandinavian shop has my loyalty! I have to admit that I often wait for the sales. They really know how to shift stock fast to make way for the new season. Incredible bargains are their only ploy, which suits me down to the ground!

The problem with me reviewing this place is that I’m not really the target market. I could really see that from the window display but I thought I should give it a go. In case you are wondering why I would be so foolish, I have my cheerleading ball coming up soon. I had found a dress but then it was sold out of my size. In desperation(after looking at many MANY dresses on websites and driving my housemates to distraction) I turned to the shops I hadn’t visited before. The staff were really lovely, though none of them seemed genuinely pleased to help me — this is probably because they knew that I wouldn’t buy anything… The fact is, though, that I don’t think my mother or grannie would shop here…

According to my aunt Noa Noa in her youth was a rather trendy clothes store, so I recently thought I’d pay it a visit. Times must have changed; there was a vast selection of clothes, which I found to be unfashionable, frumpy and surprisingly expensive. Perhaps the store has grown up with its cliental as most of the customers in Noa Noa were over 50(though I know plenty of women over 50, who dress well and wouldn’t find anything items they like in this store). The staff were polite and asked if there was anything they could help with, though I got the sense that they felt I didn’t belong(and they’d be right). Personally I wouldn’t recommend this place, they do have some acceptable mother of the bride outfits, but I’d suggest you look elsewhere.

Hier habe ich schon eine Handtasche, eine Strumpfhose und ein schwarzes-silbernes Halstuch gekauft. Die Verkäuferinnen sind sehr freundlich. Gute Beratung und gute Qualität.
