As far as shoe shops go, this one rates somewhere around average. There’s nothing incredibly special going on, and I personally find it to be rather overpriced.
The shoes range from the kind my mother wouldn’t let me out of the house in, to those that are too frumpy even for her mother to wear. When this is all crammed into one tiny store, the effect can be rather awful, as the extremes have a tendency to make the other shoes look worse than they actually are.
That said, I have walked past this store on my way through the Capitol centre and been stopped by a particularly lovely pair of shoes in the window. They are always so ridiculously expensive that I rarely bother to try them on.
Most of the shoes here just miss the mark when it comes to being stylish and sexy. The shoes that are actually quite nice can be found much cheaper (and usually even nicer) in other stores.

Moda in Pelle is a reasonably sized shoe store in the capitol centre. With it’s hot pink colour scheme my initial impression was that is was targeting the wannabe WAGs of Cardiff.
However looks can be deceiving, and whilst they do have the odd pair of shoes that are just that little bit too sparkly, many of their shoes are simple yet pretty (their wedges are gorge!).
That being said I was surprised to find that some of their «smart» shoes were in fact rather frumpy looking, and lacked originality (far too many plain black leather court shoes for my likening).
The shoes are reasonably priced (£40−60), and the staff are all helpful, but there really isn’t anything special about this place, and now that the Capitol centre could be considered a little out of the way, I wouldn’t bother visiting.
