Boots

I feel like a few other reviewers may have confused this particular boots with the one just down the road, also on Queen Street. This is the one that is far closer to Queen Street Station and is located as part of the Capitol Shopping Centre.
And, it’s really small.
~ Atmosphere:
Like I said, it’s very small so there isn’t much of a huge selection. Pretty much, I would come if you already know exactly what you want since the place isn’t very suitable to browsing. Still, it has a lot of the basics you need and gets the job done. To be honest I wouldn’t say the place isn’t entirely clean either with actual dust on some products.
~ Customer Service:
Really friendly. We were served by a delightful woman who I think had a Scottish accent, I didn’t have enough of a drawn out conversation with her to really be able to tell. She was quite helpful when I went to the counter with Shampoo and Conditioner. She let me know about the 3 for 2 deal so I could get an extra shampoo for free. Thank you, ma’am!

Basically, this Boots isn’t entirely out of this world. If you have time to spare and don’t mind walking for an extra 5 minutes, go further into Queen Street and there’s the large spacious Boots other reviewers are mentioning. However, if you already know what you need and you’re not looking to browse, this is a fine Boots that gets the job done. With friendly service to boot.

Considering that there’s another, much larger Boots only a 5 minute walk away, this still is quite a nice little shop.

This is not the main Boots in Cardiff, its a secondly shop in the Capitol Centre thats actually really small. It still seems to have everything I ever need, its just doesn’t involve spending 20 minutes looking for it.
It also has a good selection of food and drinks which is handy for all the surrounding offices or if you just fancy a quick drink to help you out.
The staff seem here also seem to have more time for you and are extra helpful.

We all know what Boots does, pretty much everything these days.
But what I want to talk about is there lunches. First of all it’s probably the cheapest lunch you can get in Cardiff hands down.
for £2.99 you can get a roll/​sandwich/​wrap etc with a bag of crisps or desert etc and any drink in store. Some of the drinks alone are near £2 themselves so you really are getting a bargain. And the food is good quality in all honesty, I had a lovely little chicken wrap and breadsticks with a humous dip.

Without a doubt one of the best Boots I’ve ever been in! This place is massive, and really has all your pharmaceutical needs under one roof.
There’s no point me listing what they have available as I’d be going on for ever and ever, though I will say I’ve purchased a few electronic items from here which touch wood have yet to cause me any problems.
Also I particularly like the balance between upmarket make up brands such as Chanel, Yves San Loren, and Lancome with the more affordable brands such as Rimmel, Maybeline, and Maxfactor, so there really is something for everyone’s budget.
If I have one complaint it’s that the queues are always far too long, but I’ll give you a handy tip, which is to get around this is by going too one of the tills at the make up counters, even if you’re not buying their branded product the staff are always quite happy to serve you (I imagine they get seriously bored), and more importantly there are usually never any queues.

This is a very large store with an easy lay out right in the centre of Cardiff Queen Street, Boots has a wide range of cosmetics, perfume, skin care products and hair styling products. All cosmetic brands are reasonably priced, generally the same prices as other similar stores although they do have good deals now and again and the sales after christmas, you can often pick up a bargain many things are half-​price or less. Varied perfume range, always ask for a sample. Staff are always Helpful and can point out a good product.
