Cantebury Cathedral

I’ve just discovered that Qype already has a listing for Cantebury Cathedral but under the quite frankly ridiculous Kathedrale spelling. This listing I’ve created has more information though and I have confidence that my review may also be more interesting and informative than those on the other listing.
Friends of mine will be aware that I am not exactly keen on religion religious institutions or religious people for that matter in fact oh actually i’ll just get on with the review, which I hope won’t be too tainted by my own personal bias.
This building, as we all know, is the world’s centre of the anglican faith — the more apologetic, tea-​and-​biscuits version of catholicism. Indeed much brain-​washing still goes on here and you can tell from that strange smell that all churches seem to have the smell of an air devoid of independent thought and decaying old people — the last throes of a previous generation trapped in the church’s grasp.
Besides that rather depressing imagery, one can come here to admire the architecture and take in its history. And let’s face it, if you’re in Cantebury then you’ve probably gone there to do just that anyway. That’s if you can stomach paying the £7.50 entry fee which maaaay go towards the building’s upkeep but also bears the risk of funding old men in silly hats who would probably rather everything went back to the way it was in the good old days when they could freely bugger children, interfere in society and if anything went wrong just blame the jews.
