Cafe De China

Lovely place. It’s quite a large restaurant, and often busy.
I used to live just up the street, and often ordered food from here. The staff usually let me have Tsing Tao beer to take away too, which was ideal.
All you can eat is offered when you’re eating in, but I found the portions generous enough that I only ordered one meal anyway.

We come here time and time again, no other chinese compares in my opinion. All you can eat buffet, no limit on anything. Dishes are huge and the food is excellent. Very reasonably priced but be warned they make their money back on drinks. Ordered a coke for around £2 and saw her filling up a glass from a coke can but wasn’t even the full can! Food wise I really have nothing to complain about, great atmosphere, clean, friendly staff. They cater very well for large groups and even play birthday music if you have a cake. Booking on a weekend night is essential, not sure about week nights.

Its good, but the manager (litle lady) should relax more. She looks like she is stress and she stresses me when I see her. Its rush rush rush.
I wish they do some more dumpling but not with pork. I can’t eat pork I am allergic.

Location good as easy parking. Bigger than it looks from the outside. Good choice of menu and nice staff. Great for big parties of people as tables can seat loads.

This is such a great place for a large party as the food is good and just keeps coming.
The service is scarily efficient and the manager is constantly on the restaurant floor ensuring her waiting staff are keeping on the ball. The place has a real buzz when busy and is better on a Saturday night than a quiet weekday.
At work this is probably the only restaurant we have been to where they have been able to cope well with a large group. If booking ask for the large round table which is perfect for chatting and comes with a very big Lazy Susan to swing your tasty dishes round the table. If feeling lazy and in a large party, the staff will just bring the most popular dishes out to you without you bothering to read the menu.

This place really is a gem! The food is as good as anywhere in China Town, the service is fast and efficient and for £15 you can eat as much as you want from the main menu which is incredible value.

This Chinese restaurant specialises in an all you can eat menu which is extremely popular with our teenage children.
It gets very busy so it is wise to book even during the week.
The efficiency of the kitchen and waiting staff is incredible as they clear up the dishes as soon as you finish your last mouthful.
It is not a place for a relaxed evening meal but for hungry (greedy) customers it is unsurpassed.

FANTASTIC! We go there for all our work meals never had a bad meal. Most popular choice on the menu is the all you can eat. You just keep ordering and they bring it straight to the table. However they say that they charge you for anything that you don’t eat like your going to leave anything anyway!

I’ve never experienced a bad time here. Yet people seem to complain about it? I’ve been delivered nothing but good food. Its been delicious. Saying that i haven’t been here for a few years so the chef may have changed (or got lazy!) Staff always friendly and always get what you would like quickly and efficiently.

I have to say that my one experience with café de China was most unpleasant. I like oriental food at its best (or even when mediocre) but the food we experienced here was not merely tasteless, it was positively GRIM!
The service was obliging but rushed and food was ‘slapped down’ as if there were an Olympic medal in line for the fastest waitress. I like prompt service but I’m not keen on having the plate snatched away as I am still chewing the last mouthful!
As you will have gleaned, I ate the food — I’m a hungry chap — but that doesn’t mean that I enjoyed it!
Having said that, I guess it is a good place to take hungry and non-​discriminatory teenagers. It should keep them quiet for a few minutes and recahrge their energy cells for a couple of hours. Just don’t expect to enjoy it yourself if you like good food.

Been here a couple of times as my young nephew likes going here with his other teenage friends. The food is all presented quite nicely, just think places like Wagamama without the fancy décor! Rather bravely they also arrange the menu so it works as an ‘all you can eat’ session on a saturday night! Extremely popular so i’d advise you to book even if it’s only for two people! Favourite dishes of the three growing teenage boys were the Chicken Satay with peanut dip, and the Spicy Chili chicken, both starters.
