My wife and myself have been going there for several years now and have never had a problem.
The final bill has always been the same (with 2 drinks each). The food is always hot and very tasty, and
we have always been treated like friends by the staff. The head waitress Helen, when on duty, always
takes the time to come and talk to us. Best chinese we have ever encountered, and as we are in our 60s
we have tried a lot of places.

We are not complainers in life, we try to just get on with it and if we come across something not to our taste we consider it lesson learnt don’t go there again but I felt I needed to share our, frankly, AWFUL experience at this restaurant.
Alarm bells should have started ringing when they seated us no problem at 7:30pm on a Saturday, albeit in a spiderweb infested corner. Drinks were ordered first but didn’t arrive until well into our starter. Don’t get me started on the food! It is advertised as an all you can eat buffet which it is as long as you order only what is on their set menu and only a set number of things at any one time. We ordered capital ribs (fried so much I wasn’t even sure they WERE ribs and pretty sure they had fried all the meat off), prawn toast literally dripping with grease, king fried prawns (I didn’t eat these so can’t personally comment) and some chicken curry dumpling things (these were nearly all left on the plate). We were so hungry (and paying nearly £15 a head) that we ordered seconds of the ribs and prawn toast in the hope that it might be better. It was not.
Next up was the seconds menu comprising of 4 options: crispy duck, crispy lamb, skewered chicken and skewered something else (pork, lamb, can’t remember). I wanted duck, my other half wanted chicken skewers but guess what? The rules apparently state that each party can only order one option at a time. Good job we both like duck eh? To be fair the duck was actually ok although there wasn’t nearly enough of it. When the skewers came out, there were 2. Now don’t get me wrong I hate wasted food but seriously, one each??? It wouldn’t have been a problem ordering more had it not taken an age to get each dish to the table.
2 saucers of crispy duck later our poor stomachs could take no more and we couldn’t face anything from the mains section. Our daughter was looking green from a chicken curry she’d ordered but couldn’t finish as she said it was absolutely nothing like chicken so we decided to get the bill.
The staff are surly and unhelpful, often coming across as downright rude. The décor is shabby, the carpets sticky, our son’s baby booster seat was filthy, black round the sides with grubby straps. There were no baby changing facilities, one toilet was out of order whilst the other didn’t lock! The food was disgusting and needless to say we will never be going back.

Chopsticks is an amazing restaurant. Food is very good and plentiful. You are never hurried, staff are very friendly and polite. They always make sure you have had enough before moving on to the next course. We have been many, many times and everyone we have ever taken there is impressed with the food and the service. Yes, the portions are not huge but you can always get more with no probs at all. I prefer this as it does not encourage the huge waste that some other all you can eat restaurants cause by greedy customers piling their plates high and leaving most of it. Drink prices are also very reasonable. All in all highly recommended.

nice all you can eat restaurant on the outskirts of canterbury. Reasonably priced, especially at lunch time when it is exceptional value. The food is wide ranging and well prepared and served and the service itself is good if a little slow at times. The duck comes highly recommended!
