The food was good, but not as great as the other Frankie & Bennies that I’ve been to before. The staff were mean to each other and at times quite rude. The cocktails are worth the treat though.

I want to make this clear this review is for Frankie & Benny’s Filton. It’s not on the search list! This was a rare date out for me and the BF after we missed our bus to Gloucester Road and F&B really didn’t please. We waited too long at the front desk to even get a table to start with… We got seats and ordered our drinks and garlic bread starter(which wasn’t quick) and the starter came before our drinks so we prompted the staff and also had to ask for sauces(which involved confusion about whether we wanted sauce with main or starter) and the drinks then arrived but the sauces didn’t. We ordered mains but they came back to say they didn’t have the ingredients for mine(a frankie’s favourite) so I chose again… When the main courses arrived we had to ask for the same sauces yet again and the onion rings on my dish were pretty burned so we asked for a replacement… The waitress did this gladly but in the meantime we realised the meal I had ordered(for the second time) wasn’t what I’d asked for! They offered to add the missing parts to my dish or replace it but the dish was unimpressive on the first place and the BF would’ve had to eat without me or let his go cold. I expressed this to staff and they didn’t offer to replace them both so we asked to pay for the garlic bread and drinks and to leave our mains. Needless to say they didn’t charge us for a thing, which was down to one of our more savvy waitresses(the other was useless) and we went to Bella Italia instead. We expected a chain restaurant but this wasn’t worth more than a drive through… Overpriced for the service and quality, we don’t recommend!

We were a party of 8 that was seated on a table that was clearly only built for 6 at a push! We asked to move and were offered 2 booths. This isn’t the right place to go if you’re visiting the cinema, the service is ok, but the food delivery is very slow at weekends. We had starters and mains, booked at 7 but had to rush down our main course and quickly pay the bill to be at Hollywood Bowl by 9pm when our lane was booked. Weekends are plagued by birthdays, and every 10 minutes they dim the lights and play the happy birthday song. I wouldn’t say that £25 each for a drink, starter and main was value for money really. The food wasn’t exceptional, my pasta was dry and the Calzones come with no garnish. Very much felt like the farmer throwing food at the pigs on a Friday night.

I have tryed this restraunt about 3 times now as its near by us and easy to get to. i have not yet enjoyed a meal! I can only compliment on how the staff looked and the highchair. Other than that is was pretty bad! Waited over 45 mins for Main meals, and chips were cold and the steak was rare and i asked for medium, and no one checked on us atall other than to give food and that was it. very unrealaxing. Defiantly our last visit Shame. Also very pricy for what you get !! would not advice

Grooved into Cribbs Causeway as a way of avoiding the oh-so-tedious motorway services & scoffed down their £9.95 two course meal. Prompt, friendly service — reasonable, but slightly bland, fayre and that curious Goodfellas style interior. Both the pepperoni pizza & seafood marinara would have benefited from more herbs — that’s all. Clean, tidy, busy…

Great for families, kids love it. Good atmosphere. Generally always busy. For a ‘chain’ the food is food. Sometimes we just have a selections of starters to share. Good place to fill in before or after cinema.

Waited 50 minutes for a simple breakfast at 10.15am Saturday morning with no more than 12 tables occupied. People came in before us, got food and left. I asked twice when it would be ready and on the second time we said let’s just pay for the coffee, we are not waiting any longer and the waitress said«Just go» don’t pay for the coffee. Unbelivable, this us the second time they’ve blown and the last for us. Bye bye Benny, bye bye.

They do pretty good food here and have a reasonable service, never had a problem. The food was good tasting and not for a bad price and its also a really nice place to chill out before a film with a nice pint. Comfy and relaxed environment.

Having never been to Frankie & Benny’s before, I was excited about going there. It was for a work’s meal, so we had to pre-book our table(for a Sunday) and pre-order our meals, which were 3 courses. Inside, the atmophere was a great old New York style circa 1950s, with its wooden tables, black and white photos and background music. Inside, on the left was a nice bar, where you could sit and wait for friends, with a nice cocktail in hand. I’d ordered the Chunky Tomato Soup, Chicken Penne, and Vanilla Cheesecake. When my starter — the tomato soup came to the table, it was cold, but I thought nothing of it, seeing as it was busy. My colleagues had ordered garlic pizza bread, which was somewhat cold as well. For the main meal, my pasta was lovely, albeit very soft and overdone(very much like schooldinner pasta). My friends had the New York Chicken, and from their reactions with their knife and forks, it looked pretty tough and resembled a lump of charcoal. A vegetarian friend had the vegetarian pizza, but found a large chunk of sausage in it, as well as a piece of salami. Suffice to say, as a long-term vegetarian, she felt sick and couldn’t eat anymore. When asking the waitress to replace the pizza, she seemed very nonchalent and uncaring. On disappearing to ‘consult her manager’ she came back with the option of a complimenary glass of wine. This seemed very unhelpful considering, the vegetarian friend had to drive, felt sick, and just wanted a replacement and maybe a little apology? Dessert came soon after. The vanilla cheesecake was lovely, but covered in some strange pink goo which frankly tasted salty, and rather odd. Then I found a long blonde hair in my cheesecake(couldn’t have been mine, since mine is short and black). At which I said to the waitress, who asked Is everything ok? I’m really sorry, but I’ve found a hair in my pudding. All I got was the reply Oh, maybe you can eat around it? Which I don’t think anyone would do, right? At the beginning of my meal, I had ordered 1 drink — a glass of diet coke. When the waitress who ‘seemed’ helpful came back to ask for more drinks, we all asked for various cocktails and drinks. After waiting an hour(after finishing 2 courses), we re-ordered our drinks with the same waitress — nothing. 2 hrs and 20 minutes in, I went to the bar to order a drink(as I was dying from thirst) at which I was told, as I was eating at a table, I would need to order it with the waitress! Not pleased, since I was willing to pay for my drink straight away, I ordered another drink — coffee this time. We waited another 20 minutes-still nothing. So we asked for the bill, which came with the price of the drinks we’d ordered but never received! In which, we had to complain, and the drinks had been taken off. However, management did little to assure the quality of the food(burnt chicken, hair in cheesecake, cold soup, meat in a strictly vegetarian meal), and were unhelpful and seemed to be rather rude, even though we had been patient and not once raised our voices. Still saying please and thank yous, despite gritting our teeth and bearing it. So this has put me off ever visiting Frankie and Benny’s again. It’s probably a very nice place, but the service and the mistakes they made are health and safety risks, which aren’t really forgiveable. In fact might even be grounds to pursue with Hygiene Standards.

We went before visiting the cinema at cribbs causeway. Really enjoyed the food, a good menu and good service. Has a really good Italian/American vibe. It has an open kitchen which is quite nice as you can see the food being made whilst you sit.

I’m not normally too keen on chained restaurant but I think this Frankie and Bennys is ok. I’ve been there several times in the early evening with friends, I found it good because of the easy parking, plus its somewhere most people know how to get to. The menu is the standard fare but they do have some good offers and meal deals which make the cost quite reasonable. Service usually ok, held a very helpful server onve when I was there for lucnhc with my baby. Toilets are clean and the restaurant is kept clean and tidy. There are some tables outside which is great for a summer evening. The food is tasty, hot and generous, I cynically don’t expect much more than that from a chain! I have to admit though that their pudding can be rather nice! Handy if you have just been shopping at the Mallwhich is just next door or planning on going to the cinema.

Frankie and Benny’s is an American style 1950’s restaurant with chains up and down the country. There is a wide range of food available and reasonable prices. Service is also always brilliant and staff always smiling! As well as a restaurant there is a bar with service of a variety of drinks. Restaurant is normally busy which is due to all of the above plus its great location! Definitely worth a try.

Frankie and Bennies is a really good value restaurant and a great place for friends, and a really good place for taking the kids for that birthday menu and birthday parties. The staff always seem real bubbly, and the food always seems really well prepared, quick and reasonably priced. The restaurants are also really nice, clean and ar really well themed, and waits are never long. I always love the wide variety of food on offer at these branches, especially at the one in this location. The staff always seem real bubbly, and the food always seems really well prepared, quick and reasonably priced Recommended to everyone!

frankie and bennie’s is a lovely italian restaurant that i occasionally go to. the pizza is delicious because they use very thin base with a crunchy crust. service is a bit iffy but otherthan that, brilliant!

Nice to eat pre or post cinema and there are always a lot of birthday parties here when I visit. Sometimes a long wait for a table in busy periods but they have a bar area where you can wait and order drinks and they give you little buzzers that light up when your table is ready. They have a huge menu but that doesn’t mean they scrimp on taste. The food comes in generous portions and is lovely. A nice surprise is the Italian language lessons in the loos. The walls are covered in Italian photos that look like they come out of any Scorcese movie and they also have they huge wine cabinets.
