Incredible. Best sag paneer I’ve ever had. If you’re in the mood for amazing Indian, don’t think about going anywhere else.

Lovely Indian restaurant in quite a unique location. I wouldn’t normally think about heading to the Yew Tree for a curry and having to go upstairs in the new complex for food felt a bit weird but after that we enjoyed a wonderful meal with great service.
The staff were very attentive. This could be because we were the only customers, which is a shame as it was a Friday evening. This didn’t distract from the quality of food or service but it did have an impact on the atmosphere.
We enjoyed a standard Indian meal for a good price. They have a full bar which is always a bonus in a curry house.

I have to say, the first time I went into Mint, I was completely thrown by the amount of tables and chairs inside. I had this image of the restaurant being quite small, but I was very wrong. The whole building is very spacious, and very clean and modern looking. I love the smell that hits you as you enter, it’s this fresh scent that fills both the upstairs and downstairs areas of the restaurant, which is a little hard to explain without actually smelling it yourself.
Whoever designed this building has thought long and hard, and upstairs room has a balcony which is great at working with space to create an openness. You could never say that you were too cramped or too close to another table in here, simply because of the creative layout, but that’s not to say that Mint isn’t popular with customers every night. It really is!
The staff go completely out of their what to be extremely helpful and friendly, which makes your whole experience at the restaurant very welcoming. And of course there’s a very wide selection of large portioned food. I’m always fuller than I’ve ever been after having a meal here, and I specifically recommend the lamb and mint yogurt.

Grab a last minute takeaway; an Indian is always a choice you will not regret. But as soon as you enter to collect your meal, regret digests quicker than your meal. That’s because of the friendly service that rapidly approaches you. As you enter inside you have a separate waiting area surrounded by a spacious, classy –yet comfortable dining area. It is well worth making a night of this cuisine, sit in and enjoy being out.
I’ve spent many a time– (although I probably shouldn’t boast about my takeaway habits) pondering the waiting area with a jealous snare at those giggling and enjoying their food at a table. But yet the staff always seems to open the door for me to enter and then shake my hand on the way out. I usually get held up on the way out, not because my order is wrong but because of an unusual interest I suddenly find for the different types of fish they have in their pond.
More importantly, their food isn’t bad, I almost forgot. I would rate their cuisine highly although I’ve had better and much worse, but all in all I enjoyed their food very much. The good service makes you feel at ease, and the chicken balti dish is one of the best I’ve had, that includes the many dishes I’ve had from Wales, Leeds and Bradford and the other places I won’t include. The curry dishes are succulent and are the kind of meals that once you start you refuse to give up despite the numerous drinks of alcohol or fizzy pop and the starters you knocked back moments before your main.
With many competitors near-​by, mint cuisine is my personal preference and over time I have gained a good relationship with the staff, and a mutual understanding — that they cannot ask if I am having my regular order as it could disparage my local reputation and reveal my fondness for fast food.

I have recently visited the Mint restaurant and I have to say that I was very impressed by the décor, ambiance, service and food. I had been in the past, but there is a massive improvement with a new menu that incorporates signature dishes that include Lamb Shank Pumpkin, Sea Bass Biran, Salad and all the clasics are there as well. Considering how nice the place is and the great food, it was great value for money. I would highly reccomend the place for initmate dinners and parties alike as they have a private mezzanin floor.

The place is the best Indian/​Bengal restaurant I have experienced. It is made convenient all round with the use of a large free to use car parking area at the outset. And the welcoming feel you get once inside. The building can be deceptive from the outside making it look small and hidden but it is in contrast quite big and spacious inside with 2 floors and a seating capacity of about 70 seats. It has a lounge area which is very cool with the fitting of a miniature aquarium with big tropical fishes swimming about and newspapers available for you to read. Right opposite the lounge is the bar which has a long curved desktop. The waiters are also very smartly dressed and very helpful with whatever you enquire. There are toilet facilities both upstairs and downstairs and are very clean! The cuisine are excellent and to die for, they have great starters like onion bhajis and kebabs served with sauces, main courses are endless and lovely deserts to end a great day out with. They give you free complimentary mints with your reciept. Music is also played whilst you eat. They give you steam rolled warm fresh towels after your meals as well. This restaurant has won many wards as evidenced by its open display of trophies etc. It also sponsors the local football team.
