Mplex is where computer go to get computer parts which I know from experience. I’ve been in here several times with a friend as he attempted to build a desktop(I say desktop but it was a little larger, closer to a Cisco server which could operate a Fortune 500 company without much fuss) The thing could rival the computing power of NASA(not in the 60s but today) and he needed a multitude of little fans to keep everything ticking over and stopping silicon from close to boiling in the case. The prices are all reasonable, there’s a mixture of cheaper low-end graphics cards and peripherals along with high-end tech exceeding £300. It’s not quite a one stop shop for your pc building needs but they have a wide range and are more than helpful.

I don’t know an awful lot about computers, it’s not what you would call my best subject, so any time I have a major problem I’ll come to Mplex and however silly I’m sure I sound, they’ll always resolve the matter without so much as a snigger from the know it alls(in a good way) behind the counter. They offer great prices on blank discs, computer software, accessories(practically everything you could ever want). I bought my laptop here 5 years ago and it still works, thanks to them. The staff know anything and everything you could ever need to know about computer technology. They have real in-depth knowledge of systems, unlike going in to *insert name* corporate computer shop where staff are totally untrained, personally I prefer dealing with someone who has a bit of sense and knowledge about the product. 100% definitely the best computer shop I know of.

Computer Geeks pay attention — you will love this place. My idea of computer-geeky-boring-hell– their idea of heaven. This computer resource shop will provide you with all you need to keep your computer and printer ‘alive’ — which I have trouble with(let’s not mention the cup of tea spilled onto keyboard debacle). It sells ink cartidges, paper, keyboards, screens, scanners, memory drives, you name it, they will have it. Their ink cartidges are actually very reasonably priced — as ink is normaly really bloody expensive in my opinion and I resent having to pay for it usually. The staff,(although total geeks in a loveable way) are helpful, especially if you aren’t a computer-type and you need help. There is decent parking outside also. I would go here before the monster that is PC World. Corporate nasties…
