Indian Knights

I don’t really order takeaway food a lot because I find most of the local places quite greasy and horrible. However I occasionally get a huge craving for some Indian food and I’ve been ordering from Indian Knights every now and then for a couple of years. I’ve never been disappointed.
The portions are huge, the curries are delicious, well spiced and freshly made and I even like their chips (which, from someone who will only eat «real chips», is quite a compliment for a takeaway). I must say though that I haven’t tried any of their more Westernised dishes (e.g. the kebabs, pizzas, etc) so I can only vouch for the curries, sundries, tandoori meats, etc, but those have always been great.
Each time we order I’m always a bit wary in case their standards have slipped since the time before but we went to Indian Knights again this weekend and everything was as good as we remembered, so I thought a review singing its praises was now probably well overdue. Having tasted a few other local Indian takeaways, most of which charge more, I would definitely return to Indian Knights again over any of the rest of them.
My only small gripe is that they’re not set up on the likes of Nifty Nosh or Just Eat so I can’t order online, which would be a lot more convenient. For the sake of my waistline it’s probably just as well!

We had an evening recently for my Dad’s birthday and decided to treat him (and ourselves!) to a yummy Indian meal. We don’t normally order in from this establishment, for no other reason other than we were in the habit of ordering from other places, but we had heard good reports about this Indian, so we decided to have a try at it. I ordered my typical Chicken Korma with Mushroom Pilau, while others in the family had a range of things from Jalfrezi Chicken, tandoori Chicken and we also had a few sides of onion bhaji, chicken pakora and so forth — and the portions were by far the biggest and most enormous of anywhere I’ve eaten… I don’t know how they are staying in business if they give that size of portions to all thier customers — we were totally full up and there was loads left over. The food was lovely too — a good amount of meat in the meat dishes and it was all correct, even though it was a fairly big order. It arrived on time too. What more do you want?
