The food is really good, we were looking for an original charcoal bbq restaurant — found it! Near our hotel in a good location. Prices are quite normal to cheap for this location — so very acceptable. Our standard service agent was great — he never forgot anything, did not get on our nerves an was discreet. Another one who served us, when the great service agent was not working, was very annoying — he was hardly trying to take conversation, what he did with each table. Sometimes he sat down to the people while eating !!! :D When we saw it, we tried not to take eye-contact with him =) Once he asked where we are coming from(Germany) he tried to speak to me in(broken) spanish… why? :D Anyway — if you get the right servant, NO problem! turkish tea and the upblown bread is always included — TOP As to mention: The service in general in turkey is MUCH better than in the turkish restaurants in Berlin — and there are Many! So: thumbs up for the turkish good service. I can definetily recommend this restaurant.

I would never step foot in here again. As delicious as the food looks in pictures, it’s horrifically bad in quality. I’ve been to over two dozen restaurants around here, and none of them have been anything but decent. Here, I couldn’t even take more than a bite. The meat was fatty, globby, and it felt like there were tendons in every single bite. It was the only restaurant in town I left my food uneaten, paid, got up, and left. This area alone has several phenomenal restaurants. Faros, Amedros, Anatolian, all excellent. Don’t bother with this one.

We arrived in Istanbul on a cold, December 31st night and this was the only food place open on our way to the hotel. We were exhausted and weary walking through the slippery snow and the cold weather– so their free apple cider tea was just the thing we were looking for. Their food was cheap and really tasty, although I don’t know if this is just the hunger talking. The staff spoke very little English, but were very friendly with us– more so than most other restaurants we tried in Istanbul. Definitely worth checking out if you are near Sultanahmet or the Blue Mosque. Don’t forget to ask for their free Cider tea if you are there and it’s cold as hell out there.

We received free meze and apple tea. The food is cheap, the portion is generous. It’s situated between the blue mosque and grand Bazaar. Easy location, friendly service, and amazing food. Second floor has strong ac and a good view of the street.

The menu is pretty much the same things you will find at other restaurants in the area, and the prices seem very good(around 15 – 20 lira a plate). The bread is soft and fresh and they give you plenty. Get a table on the 2nd floor to people watch the busy street below. The service is fast, and locals seem to eat there. My server spoke English which was very nice.

Wow! What a fantastic neighbourhood gem. Only one block from the Cemberlitas team stop. Two floor restaurant that resembles the Flatiron Building. There is seating on both floors although more on the second — with nice views of the street life. Primary focus of food is kebabs and Turkish pizza(lahmacun). All the food is fresh fresh fresh — especially the bread! You can watch them make it in an oven on the main floor. Service was top notch. Complimentary spicy salad to start the meal and apple tea at the end. Had two lahmacun along with a spicy kebab platter(Adana). Large portions for the price! Food was cheaper and much better than most of the tourist traps in Sultanahmet. Definitely will go back! Enjoyed this restaurant more than others such as Hamdi House or Sultanahmet Koftecisi!

We came in for a late dinner, and the old waiter told us, «No kebab, no kebab!» So we figured that meant no more meat for the night and walked out. But then a second waiter flagged us back and said they had everything except Döner kebab. :P So we went back in. Good choice, because the food was delicious. Tasty, succulent meatballs, delicious chicken wings, creamy lentil soup, soft bread, crunchy shepherd’s salad. They offered us Turkish tea on the house, and we asked for sugar, not realizing that it was actually sweet apple tea with sugar in it already. A fantastic meal. I’m drooling thinking of it right now…
