Vanak

Vanak is the BOMB! People travel here from far and beyond to put their wonderful, flavorful Persian food in their mouth. Everything that I’ve tried here has been great but I recommend going for the kabobs while here as they are done over a charcoal grill. So delicious. Service is always attentive and prices are very reasonable.

The best GHORMESABZI you can find in Stockholm!

Top-​notch quality Persian dishes, plenty of food, you can’t have it all! Service minded people. The only complaint is the location which is a bit far from Stockholm’s downtown. But the food was worth it.

The most delicious chicken I have tasted in my life!
This persian restaurant was previously located further down on the street and when I lived here in Akalla 10 year’s ago, I used to buy take-​out dinner because the food was great but the place was small and not very cozy.
To come back now and see how Vanak has transformed to a restaurant with beautiful lightning, wall-​decoration and seats for probably up to 80 persons, this is now a real restaurant to enjoy a whole evening. There is a ‘stage’ where mucisians play on Friday/​Saturday evenings.
About the food:
The starter we had (walnut/​cheese salad) could have been skipped, since a salad buffet is included in the menu so we felt this was not worth it. Focus maybe on other starters and main course+ dessert (saffron ice cream and baklava)
Rice comes white and yellow (saffron) and the meet is the best I’ve tasted in town. It’s tasty and very juicy.
A plus is also that you get to come out from Stockholm City and meet a different crowd. Most of the customers are from Persian origin and on a Friday night this says something about the popularity. So take the blueline and experience a little bit of variety in Stockholm — this town is more than the trendy burger’s and dumpling places in the innercity.

I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. I heard it was good but was expectin it to be small for some reason. Its a really big restaurant! What i liked about it was that most of the clients were big families an the atmosphere was lively. The food was also really good

The food is really good and we’ll made and they are not cheap eather if you like Persian food try this. They have good prices also.
