Tacos & Tequila is a gorgeous spot in a beautiful location. Overlooking the water is this relaxing spot. It was a hot day when we came here but the ocean breeze was perfect. You are actually supposed to be a hotel guest to enter this area as this is also where the hotel guest pool is but we just walked right thru and ate here anyway. If you don’t hesitate Im pretty sure that they will not stop you. The service here was phenomenal. The lady saw that we had aloe vera and were trying to cool our sun burned bodies so she brought us over a bucket with ice to keep the aloe in. They were so incredibly friendly here. To start we ordered the tortilla soup. This soup was absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend starting with this. For tacos you can mix and match or just get a set of 3. I had the short rib and the shrimp tacos. The tacos were fabulous. A combination of good food, an amazing view, and great service this place is an A+.

The view and service is amazing, the vegetable taco was below average as were the chips. The mango and pineapple salsas were decent, but I apologize, no platter of 20 chips is worth $ 9. I ordered a coconut water as well which was extremely watered down, so I was rather disappointed. It is quite clear that the view and the service are the restaurant’s appeal, not the food. Go for the view and a drink, then go to Subway.

Beautiful spot by the beach. Despite the name looks quite like cape cod. However, the food is great and the wine is the cheapest you can get around

I’m staying at the Vanderbilt for a week and this is my second night. Let me tell you, the service and the food is impeccable. Not only those in the resort but service staff in the restaurant are awesome. The tacos are to die for. If you’re a seafood lover, must try the shrimp taco; best I’ve ever had. Was a bit disappointed to only have 1 shrimp but the flavor was simply divine. So buttery and perfectly cooked. The pineapple salsa in the pork taco was amazing. Prices not too bad for a resort either.

Tacos are light, tasty, and fresh. Price varies but just to give you an idea, 3 chicken tacos go for $ 15 while lamb ones go for $ 21. I’ve been here a couple of times and it’s consistently good, it doesn’t matter if it’s near closing time or if they just opened. Menu isn’t really extravagant, you mostly have tacos, a few appetizer choices, one burger and three desserts. By the way, the cheesecake is so $&@%‘in good you have to try it. I wasn’t expecting much going into this place so maybe that’s why I liked it so much, hotel restaurants are usually bleh but this place was worth it.

Interesting local twist to regular menu items tacos/nachos. Food was tastey and fresh. We sat outside and it allowed the kids to wander as we sat with our drinks after the meals. Price was inline with $$$, although beware of the house margarita which isn’t on the menu and costs $ 21 while other signature cocktails are $ 10 – 14.

Food is not good. We had the chix nachos, which was chix on top of chips and a cheddar sauce. Not good. The tuna tartare tostada was not edible. The chix tacos not good. The only thing I liked was the lamb tacos. Aside from the food, the service and people were so nice, which is why I gave it 2 stars. We are not from Puerto Rico, so I have to give credit to the people that service this establishment.

Yum! Tacos & Tequila at the Condado Vanderbilt Hotel was great. I ordered the shrimp taco and cod taco. Both were great! They came with guacamole, pineapple salsa, and a lot of garnish. Each taco isn’t that big, however, but they’re good enough to make up for it. My party also ordered the nachos, which came with multiple cheeses including goat cheese. Our waiter was very attentive and knew all his stuff. I would definitely go back. Food: 9⁄10 Décor/Ambience: 10⁄10 Service: 9⁄10 Total: 28⁄30

My husband and I both enjoyed our tacos very much. He had pork and lamb and I had fish tacos. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere and view was beautiful on the deck at night. We did not stay at the Vanderbilt, yet were treated like we owned it! Truly, all of the wait staff, manager –Sara, and chefs included, went out of their way to make our experience extra grande. It is a little pricey, but worth it!

Fantastic place to eat. The service alone was unbeatable. We were there on a busy Saturday night and were closely attended to, the staff was super friendly and made great menu recommendations. The tacos are delicious and light, the drinks perfectly mixed. We were going to stop at another place for dessert, but were told they had a churro ice cream sandwich… Holy smokes, do not leave without trying this little piece of heaven. It’s warm, it’s crispy, it alone is worth stopping in for. Oh, and definitely stop in to the hotel bathrooms on your way out… Gorgeous. I could live in there.

Great food, excellent service, caring staff, but very pricey given the amount of food you receive.

Great menu and all the tequila options you could wish for. Cozy bar that’s willing to put on whatever game you’re looking for. Samuel, Rafael and Hector are great! Friendly & attentive.

VERY expensive for very little food! The nachos were good and the view is fantastic. BUT, the tacos were unimpressive and wayyyy over priced. On the shrimp taco(for $ 7!) you get one shrimp. If you are staying at or near the Vanderbilt, go here for a drink or one appetizer to enjoy a nice outdoor setting, but don’t eat here.

Shrimp tacos had 1 shrimp on it. Barely any meet on the short rib taco. Ordered a coconut aguafresca which tasted like tap water. The market price ceviche was good but so tiny. This place was so overpriced as well.

Very good. Nice atmosphere and light dinner. Warning: smaller portions but it was worth the refreshing taste of non greasy food in Puerto Rico. We’re trying other restaurants in the hotel since the food was so food at this one

Wanting to save a little money during our expensive stay at the Vanderbilt, we opted out of going to one of the bigger restaurants to try Tacos & Tequila. This ended up being not the wisest decision, as we could have gotten a much better meal for less money at a local restaurant. The cocktails were fine, although my drink was watered down and only about half full. The food, however, was just«meh,» and the service was pretty slow(albeit very friendly). For an appetizer we ordered the nachos, which ended up being nothing more than dry chips with two very small dipping sauces(each one less than ¼ cup). We ran out of dip by the time we finished about half of the chips, so we asked for another dip and we were charged for it. It was only $ 2, but when you’re in a 5-star hotel paying almost $ 100 for some tacos and nachos you expect there to be no charge on an extra ¼ cup of dip. The next thing we had was the cheese quesadilla. While the mix of ricotta and goat cheese was really neat and different, the quesadilla itself was quite small. Once again, we only got ¼ cup of dipping sauce and no salsa, sour cream, or anything else. This quesadilla wasn’t on the level that you would expect from your average Tex-Mex place, so it definitely wasn’t a 5-star quesadilla. Lastly, we had two tacos. I had the veggie taco and my girlfriend had the fried cod taco. The cod taco was great, a really good flavor combination and the fish was cooked just right. The veggie taco was just fine, again, not on the level of veggie tacos I’ve had elsewhere. So, I would recommend going elsewhere for Tex-Mex, as this meal definitely wasn’t worth the $ 80 we paid.

The tacos are delicious and the service is impeccable! The setting at the Vanderbilt is absolutely gorgeous! The tacos are three for fifteen dollars but they are delicious! Worth every penny!

Gorgeous views and delicious food. The service is amazing. The restaurant is ideal for watching sports since they have two huge televisions above the bar. The restaurant is completely surrounded by water. There is a wading pool and private beach just outside the front door and a tranquil hot tub with a fountain on the side.
