While we were in old san juan, we were strolling around and found this little area. And there are just soooo many pigeons. It was fun to take a few pictures of all of them. People even go around selling bags of food to feed them. Kids like to run right at them and have them fly away. I gotta say be very careful, as if you stand around too long you will end up being their restroom. And I’m speaking from experience.

I was not impressed with this. Too many pigeons. But other than that, not work coming unless you want to see pigeons. I would not encourage feeding them, as it makes them dependent.

San Juan appears to love its cats and pigeons, and the pigeons even get their own park! I am sure that young kids would be fascinated by this park. I am not a young kid and I enjoyed it. The pigeons were quite and orderly and not in attack mode. A cute and free attraction.

Ehhh, you can probably skip it. This may be fun for children, but it wasn’t all that thrilling for adults, plus we got pooped on lol. There are hundreds of pigeons for sure, but as other reviewers mentioned — they are fat, and seemingly already full… they didn’t seem that interested in the corn I was throwing. Food can be bought for a dollar, and I appreciated that they girl asked for my baggie back when I was done — presumably so she could recycle it and use it again.

This is a must while anyone’s in San Juan. It’s a simple park, nothing fancy, but it’s filled with hundreds of pigeons which are relatively calm and docile… Until of course you bring food into the mix, then all goes ape shit!!! Haha They have a little station that sells pigeon food for about a buck, so super cheap and super fun to see all the crazy pigeons flying around you and start picking at the food… just stay still!

My boyfriend and I met my parents in Old San Juan for some sightseeing, this is one place I wanted to visit. I know I had been here as a child, what a magical little park. Surprisingly clean for what it is, well cared for little plot of land. Being from New York, both of us were like… a park, with hundreds of pigeons… that you feed and they possibly land/poop on you? No thanks… but we were feeling adventurous and went in anyway. There were a lot of small children running around, the pigeons were surprisingly gentle and not too aggressive. They land on you and eat right out of your hand :TIP: There is a man selling corn and peas for feeding. Buy the peas! The pigeons here are so spoiled, they don’t even touch the corn! It’s a dollar for a bag of peas or corn, we definitely invested about $ 10 in these birds! It was so much fun and we did a fair amount of sharing our feed with the children in the park.
