I’ve NEVER ever ever walked out of a restaurant in my life before, not for food, not for service. Miramar Wine Cellar pushed just the right buttons to accomplish just that. When I asked for a wine menu, the waiter glanced down his nose and said they did not have one and left. Okay, Wine Cellar that doesn’t offer a wine menu. Feeling the snoot. I started having my doubts then and there. After putting in our orders, the waiter comes back and tells us the grouper carpaccio was out and suggests something else. I really wasn’t feeling this unnecessarily rude«wine cellar,» so we tell him to just waive it. He looks a bit surprised and begins to suggest another entrée which we politely refuse. A short while later, the waiter says the grouper is somehow available again. Red flags, much? The idea that we would be forking over a decent amount for terrible snobbish service didn’t sit well with me. I’d legitimately lost my appetite at this point. Perhaps fifteen minutes too late, we left after settling the bill. TL;DR: Never walked out of a restaurant before the meal was down. This one made it happen(after bill was settled.)

We were a group of 6 people on a Sunday afternoon. After being seated we waited for almost ½ an hour to receive water, menus and 20 more minutes before being asked for our order. Almost an hour pass before receiving our first appetizers, the we finished our first round and two bottles of wine when the head waiter came to ask if we wanted more, we told him that we wanted more but ask him to please remove all the dirty dishes from the table so we could be comfortable. He rolled his eyes and acted as if we were asking him for a favor. Well you as a waiter don’t leave the used dirty dishes in the table indefinitely. I feel sorry for the young kids working there as all of their good work is going down the drain because of the head waiter. The food is average and nothing to rave about. This use to be a good place few years ago but not anymore.

We shared three tapas and half a bottle of wine. They have a good wine selection as you would expect of a wine cellar. Not vast but good. The cebiche was very good, the yuca with cheese and serrano croquettes were excellet and the cannelloni filled with lobster was outstanding. I expected they would charge us more for the large lobster cannelloni, since it was not in the menu, but at $ 10.95 it was very reasonably priced. We will return for more.

My husband and I are on our honeymoon. We got all dressed up for a fancy dinner. We were seated and my husband wanted a glass of wine. When looking at the wine menu, there is nothing by the glass. When he asked if they have anything by the glass the gentelman in the suit and bow tie rolled his eyes and asked what he wanted. A glass of wine comes over and nothing is said. Then we didn’t see anything on the menu that said if you just get a lobster tails and my husband asked about it. The music was so loud we kept asking him to repeat himself. As soon as I just ask him to turn it way down so I can hear him, he threw up his hands, rolled his eyes, and stomp off. As my husband and I looked flabbergasted at one another for his behavior, we deciced it was time to leave. Then he looked even more upset. Whatever. They got $ 10 out of us for a glass of crap wine. We walked down the street to the restaurant Lima where they were happy to give us service and take our $ 100.
