Pricey: $ 10 for 2 coffees. Coffee seemed watery… I’d expect a really good coffee for $ 5 a cup(which is quite a lot for a cup of coffee)

Just ok cappuccinos, more like a latte. I like my cappuccinos creamer that they make them here. A little pricey but the ambiance is nice. Wish I had talked more about the plantation and coffee process.

We stumbled across this café while walking around before heading to the forts. Very attentive owner, delicious food, would definitely recommend. I had the sea omelette and my boyfriend had a sandwich. Both were generous portions and tasted very fresh. Great place to stop in for lunch or snacks while in old San Juan.

Really excellent coffee here as well as desserts, our favorite was the pistachio cake. I could smell them cooking something great up but we came after lunch so we never tried their food. Love the décor and service as well.

This is an inviting, beautiful café in a beautiful building in Old San Juan. The owner’s husband is extremely friendly. The family has a long history in the coffee business. I highly recommend this place to tourists and natives alike.

A little gem of a coffee shop with remarkable breakfasts made out of a tiny kitchen. Great break from the sun or rain.

Stopped by for a quick break from the sweltering heat outside. The décor is a 10⁄10. Incredibly cute and nothing like any coffee shop you’ve ever been to. It’s quaint and the ambiance is perfect to have a nice chat with a friend. $ 5 for an iced coffee though.

All I can say is wow. This place is awesome. This is one of the fanciest coffee places I have ever been to. The décor makes you feel like old school Puerto Rican royalty. The coffee was absolutely fantastic. I paid $ 10.00 for two coffee drinks here, no more than what you would pay at Starbucks. Definitely stop in Hacienda Isabel to experience the finer things in life.

During a torrential downpour in San Juan I ran through the narrow streets and alleys looking for sanctuary from the relentless water falling from the sky and running down the steep blue brick streets like a river. I see a sign that reads«coffee» and quickly step inside. The owner offered me towels to dry off with and seated me at a beautiful table near a window in this amazing coffee shop. The décor is awesome, this is exactly the kind of coffee shop i’d expect to find in an ancient city. The fresh baked cakes here are GREAT! A must try. Fresh squeezed juices and coffee are the best I’ve had. If you find yourself in Viejo San Juan and are looking for a kick, a pick me up, or just a chance to beat the heat and enjoy a drink and a slice of cake you need to stop here. I bought a bag of coffee beans for the road so I could enjoy Puerto Rican grown coffee at home.

Best coffee we had in PR! The restaurant is quaint and charming. The owner was very friendly and we had a nice conversation about his coffee plantation and the area around there. You can purchase the coffee from his farm at this location.

We loved this quaint little coffee shop. It is the perfect air-conditioned hideout when you’re tired of walking around and need a pick-me-up. They serve coffee and food, and have sealed bags of Puerto Rican coffee that make excellent gifts for friends and family back home.

I’m rating this place based on what it was, not on what I was expecting/wanted it to be. What it’s not: Fast coffee, good prices, and a place to sit for a couple of minutes. What it is: Slow coffee, slow gourmet sandwiches, a calm atmosphere, lovely music, and a great space. I was looking for the first type of thing, so I wasn’t particularly thrilled with my visit. I made a mistake. There you go. However, this place would be FANTASTIC if you were looking for the second thing. I paid $ 16 for an espresso and a vegetarian sandwich and it took about 30 minutes, when I really wanted a quick bite to eat. Do you want cute little tables with a variety of couches and chairs? Check. Do you want authentic Spanish and Latin music playing? Check. Do you want a delicious Puertorican coffee in a cute glass? Check. Do you want a sandwich prepared by the owner while his wife(sister? Friend?) offers you cake? Check. This is a place to sit, chat with friends, and enjoy a slow moment.

Cute find in Old San Juan. The BEST lattes I’ve ever had without hesitation. My boyfriend and I enjoyed or lattes in a Spanish decorated sitting room. The two women that helped us out were very attentive and informative.

This gem is a calm oasis in the middle of bustling Old San Juan. The décor is Bohemian chic, with piles of books, comfy armchairs and sofas, and quiet music. The coffee and service were both excellent.

Great coffee, sandwiches and ambiance. You feel like you are at a friend’s house. Smells great the minute you walk in. Air conditioning is refreshing and you can sit here and enjoy your coffee without feeling rushed. Nice music playing in background. Coffee beans for sale too. Highly recommend that you stop by here. You really won’t be disappointed.

Sunday coffee and breakfast at Hacienda Isabel is the best typical Puertorrican experience in all of Old San Juan city. We started with PR orange juice Mimosas, followed by the Pepito sandwich and a Chorizo omelet. The owner was geri kind and we have a long chat prior the the grand finally: the Hacienda Isabel coffee! Tasty, fresh PRrican coffee! I highly recommend Hacienda Isabel!

We found this place by luck walking through Viejo San Juan! It was cozy and felt very nice… Great for a small group coffee break. It has a very rustic feel as if you are having coffee at someone’s house. The coffee we had was excellent! Enjoy! :-)

This is a great coffee shop. They roast their own beans from their own coffee plantation. I had espresso and once a soy cappuccino. We also ordered an omelet and toast. It is on the pricier end but it is delicious. The glasses and cups for the coffee drinks are quaint and beautiful. The seating is comfortable, and they also have free wifi(accessible with a code). I loved stopping by. The service is friendly. They also had cakes and sandwiches, but we didn’t get the chance to try them.
