Awesome find during our travels… Very friendly staff and even better sandwiches and sweet treats! I recommend this over some of the places further down at the Luqillo Kiosks. Better food, better service.

As great as everyone else says. Get your breakfast /brunch /espresso here! If parking is full(only a few spots) it is pretty easy to park across the street at the grocery store parking lot.

If you are on the way to or from El Yunque National Forest, this is a place to stop at! Don’t be deceived by the simple appearance, the food inside is top class! Very friendly and kind staff. The lady couldn’t speak much English but tried her best to help! We tried the Quesitos Grande, both cheese and guava flavored and both were mind blowing! Flan was very well done too! It’s a pity we discovered it on our last day here, but we did pack some items to take back home :)

We had the Tripleta and Rico Pan sandwiches on our first day, which were delicious by the way. Next day we each had the Jamon y Queso sandwiches for breakfast. I realllyyyyy enjoyed this place until we went to La Familia on day 3. Good food but not the best in town.

Awesome customer service from this bakery even though the lady that took our order knew only a little Spanish. The sandwiches were good as well as the pastries! We had learned by this point in our trip that the bakeries have the best food in Puerto Rico and we were not disappointed by this place!

The ham & cheese sandwich is better than the regular place we usually go too, but the service is horrendous, which seems to be common in Puerto Rico. The first time we went we ordered two sandwiches, after waiting 15 minutes they forgot one, even the coffee took forever to make. We went again before our flight, it literally took 35 minutes for two sandwiches and coffee. Yes there was a lot of people waiting there for food also, but it’s as if the cook makes one order at a time, I guess multitask isn’t something they can do. It’s reasonably priced, same as other bakeries, plenty of seating in the back, but you must have patience, something I don’t have living in NY. I guess I can grasp the concept of waiting 35 minutes for something that should take 5 mins to make.

Ate with a group: we got the veggie omelet, breakfast sandwich and two different Cuban style sandwiches as well as various pastries. The omelette was good but the sandwich items were amazing and on point. The bakery items were amazing as we sampled a large portion of their selection amongst the group including los quesitos, los pastelitos, and the tembleque! AND the server was beyond nice. She was so attentive and friendly! Simply loved it :)

We stopped here for breakfast sandwiches and got them to go. The staff was extremely nice and the sandwiches were huge, yummy and cheap.

This place was great! They open early and the process of placing your order is also a quick one. However, for a Spanish joint, they took a little longer than usual to prepare the food! When the food came out though, it was fresh, delicious and definitely a great bang for your buck! I ordered an egg omelette with veggies and my boyfriend had the same thing in a sandwich. Both were very well seasoned and hot off the pan! We had also ordered some sandwiches for our hike to El Yunque, and those were no disappointment either! From the top of the peak, we chowed down on a Tripleta(a sandwich stuffed with chicken, steak and pork) and a turkey sandwich which was also great! All-in-all, we came out winning! The food was excellent and in a perfect location!

We stumbled upon this little bakery when we were headed to El Yunque and could not find the Palmer Bakery. We got the Cuban, the Rico Pan, and the guava quesito. The sandwiches were delicious.

We ate breakfast at this place a few times. It is deceptively small. The left half is where you order and pay, the right half, which is hidden from the road has about 12 tables in it and plenty of seating. They have very tasty pastries and good breakfast sandwiches. You can also get things like omelettes and scrambled eggs. The food is made from scratch and pretty good. We didn’t do lunches here, just the breakfasts. We visited this place 2 or 3 times while on our vacation.

This place is awesome!!! The staff is really friendly and the food is great. It’s the best breakfast I’ve had since I arrived in Porto Rico. The best thing about this place is the food is very tasty and reasonably priced. This place is the best kept secret on the island. You’re really doing yourself a disservice if you don’t stop here.

This place is amazing for breakfast and lunch, you will get the authentic flavor of Puertorrican food! Try the breakfast plater for $ 3 and tripletas for only $ 5 and $ 6 dollars. I visited everyday during my vacation there.

While visiting Puerto Rico, my family stumbled upon this amazing bakery/café. Boy were we glad we did! My family of 6 ate amazingly delicious food for about $ 20…pretty awsome if you ask me. My wife and kids had an egg, ham and cheese sandwich 2 sandwiches split between the 4 of them and I had one of the most delicious Tripleta sandwich I’ve ever had! All the sandwiches are BIG enough for 2 people! And not to mention we all had donuts and milk… all for under $ 20! This will definitely be a regular stop on our next trip here.

The owner makes sure you are happy. We ordered 6 different sandwiches. They were all delicious. The #1 and #2, chicken, and media noche. All delicious. The young man that delivered our food and the man that made our food were very kind and delivered good service. Ordered desserts to go. Couldn’t wait. Soooo delicious. Price is great. Everything homemade. I would return next time.

We also got about 6 pastries for breakfast. All this(sandwich combo and pastries) was only $ 17! It was all delicious… one thing I got was a some coconut milk pudding that was heaven! Also the guava and cream cheese… i cannot say enough about these guys! It was super quick, reasonable, and AMAZING food!

I found out why this place had so many 5-star reviews. And now I will add my 5-stars as well. We ordered over a dozen sweet pastries which were large. Typically back home in the States, these would easily be $ 2 – 4 depending on where you buy them. On an island where things typically are more expensive, this box of delicious pastries only came out to $ 15. The gals working the counter didn’t really speak great English but were very friendly to us tourists. Sometimes, I find that locals harbor prejudices or grudges towards«rich» tourists, but not here. We got service with a smile and she even cracked a joke with us. If you are a tourist, you are probably reading this on the way El Yunque, Luquillo Beach, or the Fajardo ferry from the San Juan area, heading east. If so, the bakery will be on your left. If you miss the broken divider, you will have to a make a U-turn and head back west to get here, then make another U-turn to head back east. I really love Unilocal and how it extends all the way to PR! The reviews really give a lot more confidence to explore native spots.
