Best restaurant all around so far on our 6 night vacay. Service outstanding. Drinks fantastic. Had the sun burn pain killer twice yum! Arepa con pollo was so good we ordered another one. Ceviche was perfect. No bones. The burger was big. The churassco was tender and the strawberry vinaigrette was delicious. Mahi mahi with criollo was hot and tasty. We will definitely be back. Thanks.

Have been here several times and each time it is phenomenal! The food is prepared with so much flavor it will have you craving more even on a full stomach. Everything is reasonably priced especially for the freshness you receive in return. You can tell the whole Restaraunt is ran well by the owners Isel and Charlie. They also made my time here so much fun! Enjoy a cold brew near the boats and on the water. Be sure to try the home made hot sauces too!!! Enjoy.

Sweet cocktails, as in good. They were also pretty sweet. Get the grouper, but you might get mahi mahi. Seating was really cool. Great view of the harbor and the service was great

This place is amazing, low key and perfect cozy waterside location in Puerto Chico Marina. our waitress went beyond the call of duty, even stayed past her shift to stay with our group(we were a group of 12). The food is amazing and with enough offerings for any taste– traditional island fare or even hamburgers to die for. The Pastelillos were amazing, the fried fish super fresh. Make your way, it is great. Space is limited, call ahead to see if they have tables available.

Came up on Unilocal and had no idea with to expect and was very pleased by the pleasantness and genuine interest in my visit. My waitress suggested the Ceviche with was the best on the island. Large portion as well. I will be back later for dinner. Great Find!

What a great place to have a good time and eat good food! Hard to find, so make sure you ask the locals how to get there. Food was delicious, and I can still taste the Mango Tango sauce in my mouth :-). The ambience was so relaxing, and I really enjoyed the breeze and the good music. Thank you Charlie and staff for making us feel at home! We’ll be coming back for sure!

Awesome food. Their home made hit sauces are fantastic. I tried all of them and I thought 3 of the sauces were the best hot sauces i’ve ever had. The Skirt Steak is very good. If you get the rice and beans side, it is a good combination of sweet and salty. The vegetable dip is a lot like hummas and also very good. All the food we ordered was good. Our server, Willie was just so nice and accommodating. He is an asset to that company. Great job Willie!!! The best meal we have had in Puerto Rico. We will be back.

We came here for the live music and the duet was great, nice mix of reggae, rock ballads and local music that got the small crowd singing along in Spanish and wishing I kept up with Esp III in HS. the honey almond flan was great and so were the drinks but we ate our main meal elsewhere. Great staff, they were clearly having fun and like working together. Even the chefs were singing along. Fun place.

Situated next to the marina in Fajardo, Aprx. Hour drive from San Juan is the seaside grill. We ate here after a deep sea fishing trip for the sole purpose of having the fish caught prepared for us. They charge $ 10 per pound as a prep fee. We ordered drinks and sides to go with the fish. It was served with a homemade tater sauce which was amazing. Don’t order calamari anywhere here. It is frozen bagged at ALL the restaurants. Mofonda was delicious just as the rice and beans. Both simple staples here but they know how to season and prepare them. Price point on high side but that has been par for the course in our travels here thus far.

One of the few restaurants that have an entire staff of English speaking people. This is a comfortable place for a weary traveler. Lots of people pull into here after docking their boats so the atmosphere is very laid back and the food is great. Puerto Rican food is not gluten free so it’s hard to for me to eat at establishments that serve only PR food because it’s all fried. The food here is fresh and they accommodate allergies too. Very fine wait staff. Friendly folks all around. And the cocktails are yummy. I’ve been here twice in three days. That should tell you something!

NPS = 4 Service: spectacular! Some of the best I’ve had(except for the lack of water, but whatever. Our server was so nice I forgot about it). But the food, sadly… needs some work. The meal started off bad when we had to wait approximately 30 minutes for them to set up a table for 16. We did not have reservations, so it was completely understandable. But anyway, we forgot about that as well over a couple of rounds of Medallas. I ordered the deep fried fish with a side of mofongo. It again took over an hour for the food to come out. I mean I get it… island time. But c’mon. The deep fried fish was a little rubbery and not the best I have had. It was particularly shocking since I expected the fish to be very fresh since the restaurant is right by the bay. The fish may have in fact been fresh(no dark spots on meat), but it may have been over-fried. The mofongo was very dry and only edible thanks to the mayo-ketchup(phenomenal sauce by the way). I only wish the fish and mofongo would have tasted better and I would have forgotten about all the wait, but sadly it did not measure up. Very friendly and nice staff, however. I’ll give them that.

Visiting Fajardo Puerto Rico? Make sure you stop by this Marina restaurant which is on the water. The food is delicious and the staff is really attentive. I had the shrimp in garlic sauce with rice and beans. My wife had the whole red snapper. She loved it. Make sure you visit if able to.

Great Lunch(4.5 stars) Nice location along the marina, but it was a bit of a challenge to find. We got beer and some empanadas. See photos. We got octopus mofongo and Conch mofongo. Lunch was really good. Pistachio flan was OK, and the café con leche made it a nice finish.

The service here is great, every member of the staff was friendly and could explain exactly how the food was prepared. Im a fan of hot sauces and you need to try each of the unique flavors(Guava Lava was my favorite). Getting in was a little tricky since the marina gate was closed and security was on rounds, you need to call the restaurant and they will open the gate for you.

Went here on Valentines day since it was one of the only places that wasn’t already full. Had the spicy fried grouper and the whole fried fish. Both we’re excellent! We ate in Fajardo, San Juan, Humacao, and Vieques and the seafood here remained our favorite! We’re big fans of spicy food and loved the home made hot sauces. Beautiful scenery by the marina.

This place was one of my favorite dinner spots of the trip! First, it was on the water with beautiful marina views and open windows. Second, the staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable on what to order. If they have a whole fried fish on the menu-get it! We devoured a whole red snapper(ok we were starving after hiking el yunque but it was so tasty) fast! It wasn’t American style, you know, battered heavily and doused in milk. This guy was a plain Jane– just fish and crispy goodness. I will note that if you order veggies prepare for them to come drenched in butter. Didn’t love that but you could probably ask them for no butter. I would skip the mofongo too, it’s no frills and pretty plain, especially after calamari as an appetizer and a whole fish we were stuffed! The slushy drinks are classically super sugary but it’s vacation so why not? The banana slushy is awesome. Totally artificial and totally hits the spot.

Even though Tropical Storm Bertha was headed dangerously close to shore, we were in the area and heard this was a great place. The gossip was definitely accurate! This place is right on the water and there is a lovely view. I loved their nautical décor – very touristy, but very cute. I ordered the Bistec Encebollado(always one of my favorite Puerto Rican dishes). It’s essentially a marinated piece of beef, covered in garlic and onions. Totally hit the spot. My boyfriend ordered the Poop Deck Dookie Burger – he said it was the best burger he ever had. They had some very delicious homemade hot sauces too. The servers were all super friendly and sweet, and truly bilingual. They all laughed and told us not to worry when the storm winds caused some of the lights to flicker on and off. The atmosphere was great, and the food was even better. I highly recommend this place, preferably when a storm isn’t brewing around the corner!

Que perfecto. What better way to bide your time in Fajardo in between activities, than with a beach shack-style Puerto Rican meal while watching the sunset over Puerto Chico Marina? I am so happy we happened upon El Varadero. Our group had just finished our miniboat/snorkeling tour, and had some time to kill before our nighttime Bio Bay tour, so we needed some serious dinner, and some serious cocktails. Bottom line: El Varadero was firing on all cylinders and was perfect for 7 people with various food/drink preferences, and we definitely all walked away totally satisfied and ready to tackle our next Puerto Rican experience. To start, the atmosphere is great — it’s open air, but covered, with a great view of the marina. Ambient music is nice, and the service is great. Menus are in Spanish and English, and our server was totally fluent in English. Drinks were a steal of a deal, so the beer-drinking ladies were happy to get their oversized Medallas and Presidentes on the cheap, and the cocktail/tropical drink lovers were delighted with their $ 7-ish cocktails(myself included — helloooo drinks made with multiple kinds of rum and tropical fruit juices). As for food, although this is a «seaside grill,» it’s not a problem whatsoever to accommodate tastes, preferences and allergies that might steer those in your party away from seafood and fish. I was traveling with two people who were seafood/fish averse — one due to preference, the other due to legit allergy, and there was no issue finding tasty land-lubber meat dishes on the menu, such as mofongo dishes with pork or steak, or burgers, or sandwiches. However, for those looking for seaside fare, there’s no shortage of delicious and fresh items on the menu, such as the mofongo relleno de camarones al diablo — an awesome spicy grilled shrimp mofongo. As mentioned above, all 7 of us left stuffed and happy. Plates were clean. No one was over-salty or under-spiced. Everything was fresh and delicious. Oh, and what will this Spice Fiend never forget about El Varadero? The big ol’ bottles of homemade hot sauce! See photo. I totally wanted to take those things with me, but I don’t think glass bottles would be welcome in the kayaks during the Bio Bay tour ;)
