This is supposed to be a 4-star hotel but I think this would be comparable to Courtyard Marriott. The staffs are friendly but the hotel is below par. I am not sure if this is Portugal thing or not, but the hotel charge you 1.25 euro for coffee in the room if you use it. It doesn’t say but the list price stated it. It is not much but I am just pointing out what you might not expect. Wifi is terrible in the room. I am clocking to be less than 600 Kbps download. This is just barely passing dial up these days. I asked the front desk and they told me that they will get a technician to fix it and more than 24 hours later, still very slow. I am for a conference and the conference room wifi with some people complaining that they can’t log on. Joining the hotel club gives you free internet access otherwise it would be $ 15 per day. Will you pay $ 15 euro for less than 600 Kbps? Breakfast is good but the service is slow from my observation. My table of 4 people’s plates and cups were piling up and no cleaner in sight. Hopefully they will improve otherwise it is at a nice convenient location.

Of the things I don’t understand about Europe, one of the more tangible is why showers are built without an exterior wall,(flush) door, or curtain, flooding the bathroom, as here. Helpful staff.
