Cascais Remo

Das «Cascais Remo» ist ein echter Geheimtipp, obwohl es ziemlich zentral und nur in Fußweg-​Entfernung des Bahnhofs «Rossio» liegt.
Hier stimmen sowohl das Ambiente, die Qualität der Speisen, die sich auf sehr hohem Niveau befindet als auch der freundliche Service. Die Preise sind trotz der hohen Qualität für Lissabonner Verhältnisse ausgesprochen günstig.
Wir hatten drei Gerichte ausgewählt:
1. «Cozido à Portuguesa», ein traditionelles portugiesisches Gericht mit verschiedenen Fleisch– und Wurst-​Speisen; nicht jedermanns Sache, aber wer es zu schätzen weiß, der wird hier mit einer halben Portion («meia dose») absolut satt. Geschmacklich sind alle Zutaten fein zu unterscheiden und genau richtig lange gekocht.
2. «Espetada de vitela», ein Spieß aus Rindfleisch mit Beilagen, der ebenfalls sehr gut gewürzt und geschmacklich sehr abgestimmt war.
3. «Bifinho de frango», Hähnchen-​Filet mit Beilagen; hier hatten wir eine halbe Portion («meia dose») für ein Kind bestellt, die auch völlig ausreichend war.
Dazu hatten wir einen Tafelwein (rot), eine hausgemachte Schokoladencreme («mousse au chocolat») und einen lokalen Schnaps («bagaço»), alles auf sehr gutem Niveau.

An excellent local café. The staff was eager without that touristy fake eager feel. There were many more locals here than tourists. The food as recommended by the waiter was very good and obviously authentic. The wine was decent and all at a very reasonable price. Probably half what is would be on the main drag and double the quality. Crazy atmosphere in a very small space. Get close your to table mates and enjoy the local experience.

Just got back from this restaurant my wife had the cod potatoes and onions. I had the grilled chicken and rice. Had a nice cold bottle of white wine. € 30 for all. What can I say. Great value for money. Cod was cooked well. Chicken could have been cooked a bit more but then it would have been dryer. Potatoes and onions were delicious. Rice was just rice. (1) Ask for the menu in Portuguese, it is much more extensive than the menu in English. (2) Let the waiter pick the wine. It’s basically all € 11 a bottle. On the menu in Portuguese you can get a house white or red for € 5 for a half liter. But then it’s a bit unknown. Will be back tomorrow night.

We had a lovely meal here. It was late and we wanted a little something and we ended up eating a really good, full meal. We had the grilled chicken and it was just as good as reviewed… Moist, crispy and well-​seasoned. Our dinner partners had excellent ribs and soothing chicken soup. A jug of house wine at $ 5Euro? Can’t be beat. Service was excellent. We loved it

Este restaurante tem, tão somente, dos melhores frangos grelhados de Lisboa! Descobri-​o quase por acaso quando um dia passeava pela zona e desde então marquei o espaço como um dos meus restaurantes preferidos para jantar na capital. Nas vezes que lá estive, pedi quase sempre o delicioso frango grelhado mas já pude comprovar que a oferta ao nível de peixe também é rica e variada, sobretudo os pratos de bacalhau. Para além de tudo isto, a simpatia de quem serve à mesa é cativante. Passem por lá, não se vão arrepender

Na verdade é difícil descrever o que há lá de melhor porque tudo lá é bom!
Barato com pratos típicos portugueses como as febras, e a célebre grelhada mista. Os empregados são todos muito castiços, cada um há sua maneira mas sempre cheios de simpatia.
É visitado por elementos da federação de futebol, bombeiros, e até pelas senhoras dos bares da zona! O ambiente é boémio e muito fiel aos tempos antigos e à fama que aquela zona tinha e é isso na minha opinião que o torna tão especial Óptimo para um jantar de grupo.

Tenho uma paixão especial por este restaurante. Qualquer amigo meu já lá foi comigo ou qualquer jantar de grupo de que faça parte tem de ser lá ou não consigo deixar de o recomendar a qualquer pessoa estrangeira de passagem por Lisboa. Mas é uma paixão não descabida. É que no Cascais Remo, com o seu ar de tasca e atendimento informal e amigo dos seus empregados, sente-​se realmente essa essência do norte — Paredes de Coura é a terra do patrão. Qualquer prato típico que escolhas, desde o bacalhau à brás, à alheira, às lulas grelhadas ou às pataniscas, deixar-​te-​à sempre satisfeito e sobrará normalmente comida. Para além de que pagarás muito pouco por ele. As sobremesas óptimas também, claro — eu cá por mim nunca consigo deixar de comer o leite crème. Podes estar seguro de comer e beber bem, num ambiente animado, onde existem sempre jantares de grupo, e por um preço de dez euros no máximo. E se tiveres sorte ainda se apagam as luzes e ouves um dos seus empregados a cantar o fado! Altamente recomendável.
