I had heard positive reviews from local newspaper and friends and was looking forward to try the restaurant. I was not disappointed! They have an extensive menu, from which we chose the mixed dim sum and the peking duck. Both dishes were enjoyable and the recommended wine was good. The premises has tables on the entry level as well as on a mezzanine. It is cozy and is a few blocks from Bryggen. The staff is smiling and friendly, though they sometimes seem to forget that therer are guests around. This was a positive surprise in Bergen, and I will return for informal friend dinners.

Ever since this place opened I had heard great things about it, and I was very excited to finally visit. It is safe to say that it did not disappoint! We were four people eating at 8PM on a Saturday, and I am glad we had made a reservation a few days in advance because it was packed. The restaurant goes over two floors, but it is not very big. The décor is simple, modern and Asian inspired, but not at all resembling a typical Chinese restaurant. The bathroom was big plus. It was very clean and almost serene, I couldn’t help but think they were going for a zen-vibe in there. The staff was easy going and helpful. We all ordered the ‘selskapsmeny’, which is to be shared, which had a good selection of dishes from the main menu. Everything was served together, but there were equal amounts of food for everyone. As a starter we got three different kinds of dumplings, and baby back ribs. The dumplings were nice and sticky, and tasted great but the ribs were the big star. They were incredibly tasty and juicy and perfectly braised. The middle course was peking duck served with pancakes, vegetables and a delicious hoisin sauce. This was by far my favorite dish of the evening, and I would recommend getting this either as a starter or a main to anyone visiting. The main course was Cantonese style pepper steak and tiger shrimp served with rice. I did not try the shrimp but the steak was perfectly cooked, so juicy and absolutely delicious. The dessert was a chocolate mousse served with tropical fruit(which was obviously from a can, the only bad thing I can say about the night) and ice cream. The menu said coconut ice cream, but we got a strawberry sorbet instead, but I’m not complaining because it was very good. The dessert was a perfect end to the meal, delicious but light. I was surprised at the amount of food we got, and no one left the table hungry. Our service was a bit slow, but perfect since we had so much food and no one had time to feel stuffed. Everything we had was perfectly seasoned, and I can’t say enough good things! I do not understand how some people can call this pricey, because I would say it was very reasonably priced. The meal was nothing short of incredible and prices are normal compared to other restaurants in Bergen. Even though I was there yesterday I’m already excited about going back, and I can see myself going again and again. I could rave on forever, because I am that impressed! I recommend checking out dim sum while you’re there, but like I said the duck was hands down my favorite. I’m so glad there is a nice place you can get traditional Chinese food in town.
