Specialties
My cakes are unusual, specialty treats that you can’t buy from your average cake shop; some are gluten free, dairy free or vegan and all contain as many organic ingredients as possible. Because they’re completely handmade to order, they taste wholesome and delicious. I use only the finest pure vanilla, NZ butter, Belgian chocolate and organic free range eggs.
My aesthetic is rather humble; I tend not to do elaborate themed cakes and steer well clear of any sickly sweet fondant icing (nobody likes to eat the stuff anyway). In my opinion, it’s more important for a cake to taste incredible rather than look inedible and the perfect adornment is often a scattering of crushed pistachios, some fresh flowers or glossy berries.

My love for baking started at an early age and stems from my French roots, my insane sweet tooth and a desire to please people with culinary delights. I started The Caker in 2010, and it has been a full time job ever since. It’s a service to my fellow cake eaters out there where by I bake and deliver cakes to fulfill orders.
