I have been studying the last 5 month as exchange student on AUT, and I most say that I really like the coffee from this café. After the first month the barista started to remember what coffee I was drinking, and now my coffee is almost finish before I have even paid for it at the cash register :-)

If you are a student at AUT or even work around the Mayoral Drive area, then you are bound to know about the new building that has been fully completed and opened this year. Part of this fantastic new building is a café on the third level, which have very competitive prices to the business building over the road. They offer coffee, tea, cabinet food and most notably a make-your-own salad or noodle box service, for a very reasonable $ 5 for small and $ 6.50 for large. However I was sadly very disappointed with the final product that I had to put together with the lady over the counter — maybe it was just because I didn’t choose the best ingredients, but the oily, tasteless vinaigrette definitely didn’t help. My friend always raves about this place though, so maybe I am being too harsh and should try again sans vinaigrette?

This amazing café has just opened up in the fancy new WG Building at AUT. I went there for lunch tomorrow, and seriously, why would I go anywhere else now??? They have an amazing deal — for only FIVE BUCKS you can choose either a salad box or a noodle bowl — and then you get to add FIVE ingredients to it!
So on your bed of lettuce or noodles (and there’s choices for both of those), you can add one kind of meat choice, and then four other choices from their huge selection. BARGAIN!!! I had a box of salad with chicken, feta, boiled egg, tomato and capsicum. YUM!
The queue at 12:00 was pretty long, but there were plenty of staff to manage everyone’s orders so it moved pretty quickly. And added bonus, hot guy /awesome coffee dude from Counters café in the WF Building works there as well :)
