Crawford Reserve sounds kind of posh, like perhaps Prince William would go strolling in it with his lovely wife, Kate. It’s certainly got enough charms to be wedding material, as when I visited the place, some newlyweds were getting their photos taken against the stone walls peering out towards the sea. Sort of like a stage created by mother nature, this place has deep, grassy stairs leading down in a semicircle to an area I’m sure some musicians must perform in from time to time. It’s too beautiful to remind you of the bloody, sandy Colosseum in Gladiator, but it’s the best comparison I can draw to its shape and design. There’s plenty of places to sit, flowers to smell and sea views to enjoy if you sit up the top. It really is a romantic spot(hint, hint, guys!) and a place I’d visit again. It’s just across the road from Stockade Hill as well, so you can slink away from the crowds during an event if you please.
