A brand new(sort of) wijn bar in my neighbourhood?! What more could a girl ask for??! Free wijn would be nice. but I digress. I walk past this new watering hole quite a bit. It’s practically next to my gym(which I don’t seem to go to often enough) and super close to my favourite breakfast and lunch spots. So of course I was curious when I saw the opening. But being a girl who likes what she likes(change you say? NOOOOOOO!) it was a little while from discovery to actual experience. The gentleman behind the gorgeous little wijn bar is very knowledgable and made our first time inside very memorable. And since I don’t know more about wine other than, yes I’ll have more and no that tastes like paint stripper, his advice and attention was much appreciated. Inside, the feel is very contemporary and relaxed. My Leica camera toting friend had a field day taking photos of the interior if that tells you anything at all! They also have a very nice wine rack of sorts made up of old crates right at the register– clever and great use of old materials. So basically my thoughts? Wine here is good, more please!

Great evening spent here tasting three different red wines from three different countries along with some great local snacks(and happy they served some cheese from my Belgian town!). Particularly liked the little stories the waiter told us about each wine and the tips he gave us to properly smell and enjoy our wine! I will definitely come back!
