Clean and cozy– serving illy coffee makes it a winner on first impression! Ended up going back here on two different days … sorry, I’m a guy so I stayed with the traditional English breakfast both times. The eggs are done correctly, the sausage links are good, but the bacon is the best!

This place is unreal and hands down my favorite place in Amsterdam, life changing sandwiches and lattes there are amazing. Will definitely eat there every day next time I go back.

We stopped by here for brunch, and I honestly wasn’t very impressed. We ordered an English Breakfast to split, and also a special Prins pancake. The pancake said that it was covered in chocolate and local fruits, which is a bit of an overstatement– the fruits were paper-​thin slices of fruit which were completely covered by the chocolate. You couldn’t really tell what you were eating, and the taste of the chocolate completely overpowered everything else. The English breakfast was just sad. The bacon was saltier than hell, the beans were watery, and the ‘sausage’ was really just an Oscar-​Meyer hotdog. It really just seemed like they said «Well, I’d imagine that this is what English people eat for breakfast, so let’s just throw all this together and see how it goes». During our trip we had ‘English Breakfast’ at other places, and it was MUCH better elsewhere. With real actual sausages, good strips of bacon, and tasty beans.
The Wifi was also really annoying. It was free, which is nice, but it was free pretty much everywhere in Amsterdam so that’s hardly a big deal. The problem is, you had to provide your email address or ‘Like’ them on Facebook to access it, and every few minutes your sessions would end and you’d have to re-​do the whole process.
All in all, this place just didn’t impress me. It screamed ‘Tourist Trap’, but maybe that impression just came from it’s proximity to Centraal Station.

Loved the grilled chicken sandwich on baguette. The spicy sauce was very nice. I would have preferred chicken a lottle more grilled. A good place around centraal if u want to have a qick bite. Prices are reasonable but they don’t accept american express card.

Das Prins Heerlijk serviert garantiert herrliche Spezialitäten. Aus den mediterranen Köstlichkeiten, die aus der Vitrine lachen, zaubert die nette Belegschaft spanische oder italienische Toasts und Sandwiches. Wer bei Prosciutto, Coppa, Salsiccia und Chorizo schwach wird, kann sich hier getrost ein Scheibchen abschneiden.
