Good flavors and fast service. Good location to grab an ice cream cone and walk around.

Really yummy ice cream! Ok the cat’s out of the bag, I’m a sucker for ice cream. I actually am focusing on me healthier and eating less of it but honestly that’s not working out so great for me right now. The first time I saw this place was when I went to eat at La Perla, i was too full to try it but I’ve been meaning to go since then. So today was my lucky day. I love their tiny scoops and their waffle cones. It’s yummy you have loads to choose from and you should immediately go!

Ice cream was good but not exceptional. My companions were quite satisfied with it though

Small pop-in kind of place with a large selection of gelato to enjoy on a warm sunny day. It’s a cool spot in the Jordaan to grab a scoop or two(or three) and keep walking to enjoy the scenery. They take pin which is nice since we don’t usually carry much cash and the prices are reasonable. Quick service, lots of choices, and a signature cone crisp on top, perfect combination! Fortunately(or unfortunately) for us, it’s close by, so I’ll keep you undated if anything big changes happen. ;)

The best ice cream I ve had in a long time. Period. They make everything inhouse, no artificial flavors and they are open till 10pm! What else can a girl want! They usually have long queues but they have plenty of servers at the counter so the queue moves fast. They don’t have any seating area inside– they do have a few benches outside and they charge around 2.50 euros for a scoop… Plenty of flavors, local, organic, delicious! This has been my Saturday evening sweet indulgence this summer!

No shortage of fantastic flavours but a lot of them were in Dutch. Not too expensive and a few seats outside to enjoy your ice cream.

Delicious ice cream on one of the main streets going through the Jordaan. There’s plenty to choose from, not too many selections and definitely tasty. You have to make repeat trips here to try out different flavors. It’s definitely a must go to place in the Jordaan even if you’re not in the neighborhood.

We found Monte Pelmo by chance while walking through Jordaan and were intrigued by the amount of people waiting in line, so we decided to give it a try — and were not disappointed. We’ve had our fair share of good Ice Cream in Germany, but this has so far been one of the best we’ve ever tried. Interesting flavours, all of them rich and exactly what they say they are. The«Ginger cake”-flavour had real pieces of ginger in it — I was in heaven! The size of the«normal» scoops are sometimes bigger than what you get in Germany and the price is fine(at least for German standards) and you even get a discount when you buy more than 2 scoops. We’ll be back whenever we come to Amsterdam!

I didn’t come to Amsterdam looking for ice cream, but the man we rented a flat from really stressed how good it was so we gave it a try one night. It’s excellent. Creamy without being overly rich. A wide selection of flavors. Really thoughtful and friendly servers. If you’re in the neighborhood, I definitely recommend it.

Holy Sh** oh my gosh! What a find. You cannot help notice everyone walking by while eating at La Oliva and wonder where the shop is. We found it and found three reasons to keep going back. They ran out of Mr. Nicco, an awsome flavor and replaced it with, cannot remember the name, but tasted like very fruity pudding.

I dole out a lot of 5 stars. Its because im enthusiastic about the things I really like. If it isnt 5 stars, then whats the point? The ice cream here is great. The cones are fresh and delicious. Its in a great location and the prices are fair. Its the place i would walk in the rain to grab an ice cream when I should be riding my bike to the gym!

Very good ice cream, and too many choices! Even Red Bull ice cream, for those that are adventurous. The scoops are small, so you can fit 3 – 4 flavors on a cone without it looking too crazy. That makes sampling everything easier.

This ice-cream is serious good times. I’m talking ‘OMG there’s a silky smooth party in my mouth’ good times. I ate copious amounts of ice-cream during my time in Holland(dear diet, tot ziens!) but Monte Pelmo was my favorite. The problem with this place is that every flavor is delicious and choosing one will prove to be quite a conundrum. That’s where the sampler cup comes in to play. I believe we paid € 3 for 4 heavenly scoops of chocolate, hazelnut, yogurt w/orange and banana tropical. BEST.DEAL.EVER! It really is a sin for ice-cream to taste this good and I count my lucky stars that this decadence is 4000 miles away or else I’d easily lick my way to 400lbs.
