Kofi-T

Very nice café with a cool relaxed atmosphere and nice decorations. Didn’t seem to be very busy comparing to many cafes around which might be pursuant justified by the fact that the food is not as exciting for the prices charged. My cheese sandwich for 4 € was just OK. But I really liked the fresh mint tea and I would love to just sit here with a book and a cup of tea without ordering food probably.

The bar is in a nice area and it’s clean. Music is nice and free WiFi if requested. Mint tea was very nice but the food was way too simple to justify it’s price. Very small portions if you order sandwiches or toasts. The salmon and scrambled egg in the other hand was a very large portion.

The food is so basic:(and just across the street you have a way better spot. The Terrance is boring (but in the sun). Inside is also nothing special.
Basically this place doesn’t stand to the competition around in the area.

Oh Kofi-​T… I don’t really know what to think of you.
Today I went to this place to meet up for lunch. I actually never went here before because I usually go to ‘Le Pain Quotidien’, across the street, but Kofi-​T always looks nice when I walk by so I thought it would be nice for a change.
We sat on their nice terrace out in the sunshine. Great spot. It took the waitress quite a long time to spot us but oh well. let’s order. Iced coffee and juice of the day. Both 4,50, quite pricey for iced coffee. It took the waitress 15 minutes to get our drinks and I think that’s quite long. (especially for us since we still had to order our food and we were on a lunch break from work.) But okay, no worries, just relax. When the drinks arrived we ordered our sandwiches (tuna salad and egg salad, both brown bread, 4,50 both for one slice). The juice was fine, it was fresh and homemade. The iced coffee was also homemade but it was terrible. It was cold water with a hint of coffee. There was no taste or anything. So I was quite disappointed by that. (Told them this later when I paid and they were a bit defensive: «its because of the ice» but thanked me for the tip afterwards)
It took the girls quite a while to bring our sandwiches (and they kept coming back to our table with questions like ‘would you also like some avocado?’ ‘one or two slices of bread?’, okay fine but just be efficient and ask those things when we order :)) When the sandwiches finally arrived I was very glad that they were very tasty and delicious. The salads were both fresh and homemade and the tomato and avocado were also very nice and fresh. Great bread as well.
So. I quess Kofi-​T will get 3 stars.
Pro’s: nice sandwiches, girls were very friendly, the juice is fine, nice terrace and interior inside.
Con’s: coffee is very expensive! Most drinks are. The iced coffee was terrible, the service was very slow and inefficient.
So it’s an OK. But sorry, I do not recommend this place because their are so much more and better places in this area.

Nice neighborhood shop with a cozy atmosphere and really friendly staff that are happy to give you what you ask for and go above and beyond. Stands out as friendly service in Amsterdam, they always remember you after a couple visits. Everything is biologische/​organic and you can recognize the quality in the food. Lovely coffee every time and a great place to spend a slow afternoon or meet for a chat with the girls. A bit on the pricey side for some of the food items, but worth it for the friendliness and atmosphere.

I’m giving them high marks for being, finally, a friendly place in Amsterdam. They were kind and had good service. Maybe I hit it on a good day but I’ll take it.
