GReat area, and very simple design, cool place and really busy! So happy I came across here! It really was a go to spot for me! And my friend love the place too. I will be back here! Amazing coffee, they are doing something great here and i would love to see more like this place in Amsterdam

My neighbourhood coffee joint. The coffee is the best in Amsterdam. The food, not much of it there however!

Nice coffee, but a bit pretentious. What else would you expect from a craft coffee roaster in Amsterdam, one might ask… but the truth is La Boutique Del Caffe Torrefazione, Scandinavian Embassy, Lot 61, etc, all somehow manage to not glare at me when I walk in the door. Would go back if I was in the area but not out of my way. Inside is good for talking but not for working; benches are not very cozy and the place is quite small. And of course they carry CRAVE salads which are delicious!

Coffee that will stop you dead in your tracks and have you saying repeatedly: this is amazing. I had a very good macchiato in this little slice of hipster heaven in Amsterdam. If you are looking for a very good coffee, look no further. Thank you Headfirst for being amazing.

Yeah this place is hipster, which may or not be your thing, but don’t let that distract you, they know how to make coffee. My friend who knows more about coffee than anyone I’ve ever met vouches for it, and that’s all the confirmation I need. I happened to see a trophy in the back for 2nd place in a coffee competition, so maybe that’s where the so-called attitude comes from(that other reviews mentioned). Personally I don’t care if I need to deal with a «soup nazi»; I’ll put knowing one’s craft and quality first.(Of course if something exceptionally crazy happens that’s different.) Nonetheless, I didn’t have any issues with the service as the couple reviewers mentioned. They were quiet, but nice. I was happy that even in my little to-go cappuccino the barista made the effort to make a beautiful flower pattern. I can see they care about how things are done. I’ll be back for sure.

Just scored a cup of coffee in this new joint. The coffee was really nice, the croissant alright. The staff should be more attentive to my liking. I shouldn’t be doing my best to attract their attention to order something. But unfortunately that seems to be normal in Amsterdam. The downside is that there is no wifi connection in this place(at least not yet!).

I’m about to do the equivalent of «I studied abroad at x country one time soooo I’ve had my fair share of y so I totally know amazing y and you can totes count on me.» I’m from Seattle. It’s almost never bright enough to properly wake up, so we rely on coffee for that. I really know coffee. I know shit coffee and I know good coffee. This place knows the latter. Even though I was trying so hard to check out all the places in this cute part of Amsterdam, I came here a couple of times because how could you not? It’s great shots of espresso and milk steamed right. There isn’t much else to say. I don’t know how it’s particularly hipster any more than the rest of the Jordaan neighborhood. Minimalistic modern décor perchance? I didn’t see anyone with an ironic mustache so if you want coffee but hate hipsters, don’t let that stop you from coming here.
