I’m torn on this review. This establishment felt much more like a bar, than pub with food. I ordered dinner and a beer and felt I was being rushed; my table had to be bused and moved as I was eating, I had to hold my dinner plate while finishing my appetizer then take my plate in when done as my table had been moved for those arriving ordering drinks. Meanwhile others drinking much more heavily than myself were not bothered at all. I can’t imagine this was a misunderstanding, it was clear I was welcome unless someone was needing my spot. Great location, quiet and almost no hustle and bustle, but my appetizer was not that great and only amber beers on tap. 3-stars for great location minus food and varied service.

The coolest bar in Amsterdam is found on the other side of the skinny bridge. You’ll encounter an eclectic mix of artist, thespians, intellectuals, and well rounded friendly people eager to strike up a conversation. A stones throw away from all the highlights of the city, yet nestled away from the tourist. You’ll be hard presses to find a better burger in town. Cooked to perfection and armed with a magical caramelized onion capote, your mouth will leave tingling and you’ll crave a return. The two owners will make your visit memorable, and you’ll feel right at home in this Dutch gem :)

Great little bar near the Magere Brug. Nice bar long bar inside with great barkeeps. One can grab a table outside and watch bike/people/car traffic go by on Amstel. I did not try any of the food but saw many clients enjoying a coffee and or beer. Great place to watch the the boats go by and have the Magere Brug raised to let the boats through.
