Well overall our experience was marred by a barmaid who patently did not know her business. We ordered a coke and a Gin and Tonic. The server asked me what gin I’d like and brought over the menu so I could select the gin and tonic water of my preference. I selected a Beefeater 24 gin and asked if they had a low calorie /diet tonic. «No» she said«I’ve never heard of such a thing. «Anyway we have a special tonic that we serve with that» OK I thought I’ll go with the flow… the G&T came with a slice of grapefruit so they were obviously trying to highlight their signature drink. To cut to the chase… the drink was served with a Fever Tree Ginger Beer — not tonic water. Because of the confidence of the barmaid and the slightly down putting attitude to my(obviously knowledge free) request for low calorie tonic water I chose not to challenge this. My bad… because all you tasted was the ginger beer. On further review Fever Tree Tonic is what should have been used and«YES» by the way they do a low calorie(all natural) tonic… SIGH The fries that we had were fine although the same server dropped the first tub of mayo all over the floor. But I’m pretty sure we could have got decent fries in a dozen other places nearby. Overall not a good experience and pretty grumpy about it hence 2 stars!

Well renowned for having the slowest service in Amsterdam. I saw an old grandmother waiting for over an hour to have her order taken by the staff. On the other side, the cocktails are decent, the food not to bad and location excellent.

As an American I thought I knew a good burger when I had one and all throughout Europe, there hasn’t been one yet. Until today, just had the Milo burger here and it was the best burger I’ve ever had. Order it, service was a little slow but the burger warranted 5 stars!

We passed this place while on tram 9 many times. I don’t know why, but I just knew we had to go there. There may have been a special for 5 € on Wednesdays that I wanted to check out… and in case you are interested, it’s 9 € for all pizzas on Mondays. So, we went on a Wednesday to have a quiet evening. We had a very good server, who gave us advice and was overall very friendly(We always appreciate this!) Honestly we weren’t expecting too much. It’s just another café/pizzeria right? WRONG! We took a bite of our Margherita Pizza and we just looked at each other. If nothing else, go here for pizza. Seriously. We also got fries to snack on, while Sean thought they were okay, I loved them! You can definitely split a pizza between two people. It will give you just enough room for dessert! On the English menu there is a fondant cake. Think of it as a chocolate lava cake, but not as gooey. This was delicious. It was served with cinnamon ice cream(which really needs to make an appearance in the U.S.), whipping cream, and an apple sauce. You can share this… we didn’t! Sean got the 3 scoops of sorbet and loved that too. We were expecting an okay dinner but were blown away. Service could be hit or miss(our first server was fine, but the second who we had after the initial meeting, was awesome). Definitely give this place a try if you are in the East(Oost)!

Had a delicious and very affordable meal here. I had the veggie burger and my friend had the regular burger, and both were perfect, big portions, well-made and really nice ingredient combinations. Only complaint is that they ran out of the house wine, and you had to order fries on the side. Otherwise — good food, great prices, and good service.

Not for breakfast. We stopped here one morning(close to our hotel) and were quite disappointed. The cappuccino was so-so. The food was mediocre, and not quite what we had expected based on other restaurants we had eaten at in Amsterdam. The service was scarce, despite us being the only customers, which should have been our clue. Don’t breakfast here — try Café Kuijpers instead. You won’t be disappointed there.

This caffe was close to the hotel that we were staying at and open late. Most of the other restaurants weren’t serving dinner since it was already 10:30. We grabbed a table and ordered 2 pizza’s. The portion size is huge! I ended up taking some to go. The prices for pizza vary between 10 – 12 euros and tastes excellent! It was so good that we ended up going a second time during our 5 night stay.

If we hadn’t gotten up and left, we’d still be waiting for a menu. Restaurant was nearly empty. Bad feeling when you are ignored.

Sehr nettes Personal. Würde sofort wieder hingehen.
