I LOVECAFEDEGIETER. This is just a very chill local bar that has cheap drinks, decent music, and cool people. Being from the states, it’s annoying when you go to some of these local bar and you have some rude doorman claiming it’s a «locals only» bar before you even open your mouth. This place doesn’t have any of the sort. Come in and have fun! Thursdays they have 1.50 beers too, so enjoy!

Plenty of students, mostly Dutch, some international. Very cheep beer is the attraction. Good place to go before heading to other bars in Leidseplein.

This place has really cheap beer, so if that is all you care about in a bar, this place is for you. The service was good, but the music here was so bad that I couldn’t really dance and enjoy myself. The clientele was also a bit questionable. The place was filled with natives(a shock at Leidseplein) but there were also many belligerent tourists who stumbled in from the big name attractions. I have nothing against tourists per se, but they definitely changed the vibe of the café.
