Friendly service, genuine kiwi down-to-earth atmosphere. Good flat white, good eggs benny and they serve L&P!

If you’re looking for more of an American style big brunch this place is perfect. Get there early since the wait can be an hour or more. They have interesting played. We had the Navajo eggs and the banana French toast, which were both delicious

Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day and I will definitely be coming back many times more to Bakers and Roasters to get my egg fix! Love the variety of Breakfast options, my order of Green Shakshuka eggs helped replenished the nutrients I lost during a heavy bender over the weekend! They could do with more moisture but were tasty nonetheless! Ben ordered the Vegie Breakfast which had everything a vegetarian could possibly want! Eggs your way, brown toast, avocado, mushrooms, potatoes, halloumi and their home-made chilli jam(more of a sauce). Coffees were awesome, service was amazing, haven’t seen so many servers in a venue before! Love this place, can’t wait for my next Breakfast here! Will definitely try the corn fritters next :)

My favourite place for brunch in Amsterdam, now less than 10min away from my house. BLESS! Created by a Kiwi and a Brazilian, Bakers offers great food and great service with a reasonable price. Our weekends are not complete unless we drag ourselves from bed and take our sleepy, grumpy bodies to Bakers to treat them with some poached eggs, crunchy toast, and delicious coffee(or milkshakes even). This branch is still not as crowded as De Pijp’s one, but our days of just arriving and sitting are surely gone. Last time we waited for about 40min(2 people). I’ve come also with a group of 6 people and it took only 30min to be seated, so it’s basically luck and good timing. It’s best to arrive before 11am to be sure, anyway. And kudos on the management team for being able to open two different locations and maintaining the quality of the service and the food. The hostess is a charm, really calm and collected, she manages the crowd with loads of graciousness. My top picks: Eggs Benny, B&R Special, Vegge Brekkie, Breakfast Burrito(loooooads of food, be aware). A mimosa or a vanilla milkshake are pretty good calls too!

Very helpful and friendly service with delicious food. The blueberry pancakes where a huge hit with my kids. They were light and fluffy with lots of blueberries inside. The three beet salad was unique, fresh and very tasty and my husband had the egg hash dish with chorizo that was fantastic.

The best brunch I’ve had in a while! This place is great because it’s not very crowded. We were seated within a few minutes. The staff was friendly and attentive. I ordered the chorizo and kumara hash. The sweet potatoes add a nice touch of sweet to this dish. I would definitely recommend. I tried some of the huevos rancheros as well and this was also great. Don’t leave without ordering a dessert! The hummingbird cake was impeccable. Will definitely visit if I go to Amsterdam again.

This is the second location of the much-loved Bakers & Roasters in the Pijp, and let me tell you, the second location is as good as the original! The food was the same high-quality, inventive, big portioned goodness you know and love from the Pijp location. The staff are friendly and attentive. The interior is not quite as… atmospheric as the Pijp, but it’s warm and cheery and they do a great job of keeping the cold air out with the door curtain, so don’t be afraid of those tables near the door. It’s not NEARLY as busy as the Pijp location yet… hopefully it stays that way :) But it’s just as good.

The great Bakers & Roasters has opened a second location, and that is excellent news, as their original one is now popular beyond bursting point. Meanwhile, this one is just as good as the first and a bit more tranquil. Although I have to say that it’s a quite small location so it won’t be quiet for long ;-) 4 stars, not 5, because I had poached eggs and the Hollandaise was not great. But the rest of the food was amazing, so I will give it another chance. Bottom line: go here now!

Bakers and Roasters– new location! I came so excited. My last visit to bakers and roasters I remeber really loving the food but not the waiting time and not the prices. So I came really pumped to the new location hoping for all the good without any waiting time. Coffee is really good. They make it well, and the beans has a really good flavor. The food was good. I think I moght have expected better cause I was so pumped about it but it was good. I would still excpect better for what they charge. Yes– I still think it’s too expensive. The service was nice but way too much. We’ve been chacked so many time, three times if we’re already ready to order, three times when we had food if everything is ok. But I assume they’re intentions were good. Amd yet when I got my food they still managed to get the eggs wrong. Yes they have apologized twice. I also love the location. A bit out of the center. Lovely area. I still think it’s a bit too expensive for what they give but would go back. What can I say– I’m a sucker for brunch.
