Cafeteria Los Portales

El servicio de los meseros es muy malo, y contrasta con el de los otros restaurants en el mismo hotel.

It’s no secret. I love Mexican food. My girlfriend says that she doesn’t like Mexican food, but she eats it and she eats things that are so similar to Mexican food that she doesn’t realize that she does like Mexican food. For example, she doesn’t like burritos, but she loves a chicken wrap. I’m not one to say I told you so, but a chicken wrap is about the same as a chicken burrito. She also loves flan. So it wasn’t that hard of a sell to bring her to Cafeteria Los Portales.
So we come to Cafeteria Los Portales and we sit down for some Mexican food. They have a buffet and it’s awesome. There’s soups, vegetables, desserts, and all kinds of great Mexican food. I went by three times though the buffet. That’s how good it was. I certainly got my fill. You can get your fill until 12:00 midnight here too.
The décor is very nice and comfortable. The restaurant is right in the middle of the Hotel Lucerna and it’s the kind of restaurant where business people from out of town are conducting business meetings or upscale local families are having a nice family meal. The staff are friendly and nice, but you better brush up on your Spanish speaking skills. Their English is not that great. There’s plenty of parking in their parking lot.
