Each and every time I visit Mexicali it’s mandatory to make a quick stop here for tacos. These tacos are the BEST tacos I’ve ever eaten. BESTTACOSANDFANTASTICSERVICE :))

Best tacos in the world!! the place is really clean and the tacos are Amazing. They make fresh tortillas and I’ve a good variety of salsas. They also have good horchatas and jamaicas. This place is a must if you are visiting the valley of Mexicali. The place is tourist friendly and the prices are just right

After driving around town we came across this inviting looking place. Tacos were 18 pesos or $ 1.09 exchange rate was 16.80 pesos per dollar and came with a plethora of sides that would cost a bunch in the states. Hand made flour tortilla with a generous scoop of meat. You’re a king with your dollar here. $ 6 we had 4 tacos and a drink and it totally hit the spot. The meat is seasoned and cook to perfection. Definitely coming back next time. I miss them tacos already. The service is out of this world as well. They are very attentive as heck. They take care of your every need.

These tacos are absolutely amazing. Not even close to anything you can get in SD; it’s just on a completely different level. Try the tacos de lengua(tongue) they are so delicious. Also, get a one of there drinks like an horchata or jamaica.

The best tacos in Mexicali. I have been going there for at least 16 yrs and the place just keeps getting bigger and better. They have a huge variety of salsas, meats, and«aguas fescas». My favorite fruit water is the pineapple one, it’s delicious. The place is always pack but they have pretty good service.

Haven’t been down to Mexico in a while, so it was nice to be back. I have been hearing my cousins talk about this place for quite a while now and decided that since I was already down there I should try it… yep they were right. It is delicious! I have never been to a taco place where all the condiments are placed on the table for you to just add as much of whatever you would like. It’s an amazing concept we need at taquerias in the US. I try both the carne asada and al pastor on flour. The flour tortillas are made from scratch and the meat is pretty bomb itself. Out of the two I would go with the al pastor. The people in my group also tried the tripas and cabeza tacos on corn tortillas, which they said were better tasting then the flour ones. Tacos are about 19 Pesos which is just over $ 1USD/each. This is the place where everyone that cross the border from the US visits. If you look in the parking lot you’ll see about a 50⁄50 split of US licsence plates and B.C. plates. Parking can be a little brutal at night, but there is plenty of lots available to park at.

I always had wondered about Mexicali. On my move out to Phoenix today, I decided to check it out and cross the border(Very easy crossing btw… no wait in and no wait out. Total time in Mexico was probably 45 minutes). The other day, one of my buddies who grew up in Calexico started talking about tacos. He recommended this place and due to the fact that I saw some outstanding reviews online, plus it was on the way out to AZ, it was a definite GO! I grabbed a taxi, headed down to the restaurant and walked in. I took a seat and my waitress came over to my table. Yo hablo espanol muy malo but she got my drift of what what I wanted. I placed my order for 3 carne asada tacos and 3 adobada tacos on corn tortillas(they also offer flour tortillas too if you want them instead). I ordered a Diet Coke and was all set. A man came by with all the fixings and a few minutes later the lady brought out my tacos. Here is how they tasted… Carne Asada Tacos– I got 3 of these bad boys. They bring them out just meat and tortilla. You hook them up yourself. I went with different combos of onions, cilantro, hot sauce, avocado etc. The carne asada had a great smoky flavor which usually comes from grilling over charcoal… I didn’t see where they were cooking it, but it was delicious. A couple of bites had some gristle in it, but it was still pretty delicious. I would like to try them on the flour tortillas if there is ever a next time(probably not, but never say never when it comes to tacos!). Adobada Tacos– I got 3 of these also. Same presentation… meat and tortillas. I went with onions, cilantro and hot sauce on all 3 of these. The adobada was very good. All meat and no fat or funky pieces. It had a great flavor. I wish it was a bit more crispy kind of but it was still very good. Total cost for 6 tacos and a Diet Coke was $ 10.00. I’m pretty sure that was the gringo price, but I didn’t really care. They were definitely good and worth the $ 10.00. They would definitely be a go to spot if I lived in Calexico/Mexicali. The only reason I wouldn’t come back though is because of total cost factor(parking+taxi to and from adds up). Oh yeah… it was 115 out too lol. Hot as the sun! I’m glad I came though and they were definitely excellent tacos! It was a perfect lunch!

To me, these are the best tacos in Mexicali. Very friendly service and a ton of sides. Excellent homemade tortillas. Always busy, but a large place, so finding a table is easy. Try the volcan!
