Wanted the Ramen but couldn’t take the strength of the chicken broth in the soup. too chicken smelling…(Really chickeny, kinda when my mum boiled chicken-boney kinda smell) so changed it out for the Udon and Soba all good there and a very understanding host. If you’re in the mood for noodles, then this is a noodle shop — fills that gap, nothing more or less. They do Sushi too and we had a Kappa Maki, but honestly, it’s a noodle shop so … It’s behind Hanaichi(The Japanese restaurant opposite the supermarket) ! : — map was confusing and nobody knew it, but it’s there. As for the dollar thing… no idea what is being said here. Bill came(With service already incl.) and had a bang on US $ written on. but i paid by Credit Card so no idea about paying in dollars.

Had a craving for ramen. Couldn’t find this place to save my life. Tried with the help of 2 hotel concierges. Would be great if the restaurant would list a phone number and nearby landmark. KM9 stretches from KM8 to KM10 and around a large bend in the road. Got some great street tacos instead.

Not bad, but not as good as expected. The ramen is ok but not enough meat in, and gyoza is not very delicious. Maybe because our expectation is too high.

You know that you are very Asian when you are in vacation, and consistently craving Asian food. Good thing we found this place, It’s located in a mall strip next to a bank. Very good ramen surprisingly and very friendly service.

My new favorite spot to eat. Came here yesterday and was amazed with the ramen and spicy tuna bowl I had to come back before I left. Friendly servers and excellent food. What more can you ask for?

The place is very shabby and not attracting, hidden in between the buildings. Their kitchen looks pretty dirty and small, but their ramen tasted as good as in toronto for example. Rolls-not sure, tuna on top looked a little old, like its been laying there for a while or something. However, i felt good afterward, no poisoning or anything. It seemed like both cooks that work there are actually japanese. A little pricey, but since we were tired from the buffet food, this place was like a little adventure :)

The place looked legit and owned by an asian who seemed Japanese. They had the usual shio and shoyu and also some fusion ramen with lobster, crab, habanero, mexican chile. The mexican chile looked good so we ordered it but when the broth came it was horrible with a layer of fat foam. When we asked about it they use the blender with the broth hence the heavy layer of fat foam which was disgusting. we couldn’t even eat more than a spoonful. we were discouraged and told them our issues, we weren’t able to change it but she was willing to exchange a different ramen habanero ramen with less fat stock which was cheaper but we would pay the higher fee. We decided to give it a second try and agreed. The 2nd one was much better and very spicy. At least the owner was willing to make us happy which was very nice of her. value 3⁄5 very pricey for ramen but then again we are in mexico atmosphere 3⁄5 it’s inside a strip mall that is dead service 5⁄5 nice of her to make us a new soup quality 3⁄5 mixed 16⁄20

I was highly expected for this restaurant and we took twenty minutes to looking for the place since in the hotel zone everything don’t have specific address. I already know the low exchange rate from other reviews, however, there are other good reviews about the food. First, we ordered the chicken teriyaki, I think it was delicious but my friend noticed some chicken wad not fully cooked. Then I had the WORST dragon roll ever!!! !! The salmon on top was still icy and the shrimp inside was tasteless. Everything of this roll is not right… The Ramen was also WEAK. You can’t call it a ramen if you had a real one before. And they don’t provide water for free, they charge like 29 peso per cup of water, which can buy you two big bottles of purified water outside. So I think it is quite unreasonable. They charge a ten percent tips and $ 12 exchange rate for dollars now. These would be all fine as long as the food is much better…

For what it is, a ramen joint in the middle of northern Zona Hotelera is just fine. Plain udon is just that, plain, right for kids, not right for adults probably unless you’re out for a «cleanse». Sapporo shio classic ramen is good, just again not meant to excite. The half egg and pork I thought was good and portions fair for tourist location. What surprised me was how good and unique the chili ramen(not the habanero one) was. Nice and thick with a nice hint of heat at the end. Folks you gotta put things in perspective, you’re in the tourist area of Cancun, do you really expect gourmet at roughly US west coast prices for ramen? I enjoyed what we got and the spicy versions did bring the heat. There’s only a few tables and they are pretty much all outside either under a tent or open space. As for the folks who paid in US currency, what can I say? There are multiple exchange places 3min walking distance away, the tour place across from Haagen Daz had a fair rate for again the tourist part of north Zona Hotelera. All in all a nice break from Mexican cuisine run by what appears to be Japanese owners. I hope they do well. One more note, it is located a visual shot of Hanaichi. And hopefully Unilocal removes«Japanese Ramen Noodle House», it’s the sign for Hiroya and location is WAYOFF. LOL.

We stumbled upon this last night for dinner since we wanted something else other than Mexican food. We were headed to the other Japanese place but saw the signs for ramen! Good sign so far. We ordered the shio ramen(good, but wanted a stronger broth), shoyu ramen(pork was good), selection of two sashimi(huge portions but the fish was still frozen and we didn’t know it was chef’s selection. We ordered white tuna and salmon but got conch? and tuna, which wasn’t that great) and the Okinawa roll(by this time, we were pretty full so we barely ate it but we couldn’t see any crab inside?) Overall, the meal met our needs aka not Mexican. However, I wish there was a Tonkatsu ramen? There are more available(blue crab, jampong?, habanero, etc) so maybe we will try out the other ones. Either way, you get a lot for what you pay. The portion sizes for ramen is pretty big. Not bad for cancun!

Came here during the week in Cancun since I was so sick of eating mexican food for every meal. FUCKTHISPLACE! They create their own currency exchange rate and charge customers much much more than they should. Our total was 580 pesos but they wanted $ 53US dollars. The exchange rate is supposed to be $ 14.6 but in this restaurant, they decided to make the exchange rate $ 11. Wtf… We tried to talk to the owners but the owners were like well in this restaurant that’s the way it is. SHADY cheap greedy people. Never again. Also, the sushi is WEAK. Ramen doesn’t taste like real ramen. Boo you whore!
