Just stayed here last week. We actually were supposed to stay in a newer resort, but it STILL hasn’t been reopened since Hurricane Odile. The resort said they’d be own by July 1st, then after purchasing non-refundable airline tickets they informed us that they were mistaken and that they actually wouldn’t reopen until September 1st. So they made arrangements for us to stay at Club Cascadas at no charge. Only problem is that the accommodations at Club Cascadas was for a one bedroom unit while we had reservations for a two bedroom unit at the original resort. That’s not Club Cascadas fault though. OK, that’s the back story. The long and short of it is that I really wound up liking Club Cascadas A LOT more than I thought that I would. From the pictures I could tell that it was an older resort, but the reality is that it wasn’t the problem that I thought that it would be. This place has TONS of charm! The older architecture is beautiful and has an authentic Mexican feel. There is a plethora of vegetation around the winding paths of the resort and they’re all well maintained. The Turtle and Shark pools are also quite nice. The staff is incredibly friendly. One night a transformer blew(I was actually in the parking lot at the time and saw it blow) and power was list at a number of units. After a couple of hours I went to the front desk just to see if I could get an update on what was going on. Naturally there was another guest already there absolutely giving the poor front desk clerk, Alberto, the business about the outage. To his credit, Alberto was very professional and explained things as best he could while the guy was being rather rude to him. Alberto was actually on the phone with the local power company doing the best that he could while dealing with the irate guest. I just gave Alberto a nod that I understood the situation and went back to my unit to relax. Power was restored on ‘Mexican time’(their term, not mine). The restaurant is quite nice and is open to the beach for beautiful views while dining. The food is delicious, in fact my wife said that they had the best fajitas that she’d ever had. The units have character and each building has an animal sculpture. We were in malaga and it has a horse head statute at the base of the stairs. The unit could comfortably sleep four and has two bathrooms, but the one bedroom was more of a loft. It was not enclosed and open to below. So while it’s visually private, sounds obviously carry downstairs. Something to consider if you plan to be intimate and there are kids, other family or friends below. We were there in mid July so it was quite hot and humid. The only air conditioning was provided by a single wall mount unit in the upstairs bedroom. There’s a ceiling fan in the bedroom, both bathrooms and several in the downstairs common areas and kitchen. Considering the heat things were cooler than I expected especially since the unit has many openings in it. So you’ll be cool, but people that need to be ice cold won’t be satisfied. A second wall mounted air conditioner downstairs would work wonders. We also had our own private whirlpool hot tub which was pretty sweet. The one downside is that the unit had no television or telephone. You don’t go to Cabo to watch TV, but it would have been handy for the teenagers to watch while we went out to party at night. TL;DR Great place to stay unless you need your unit to be frigid. If you plan to take kids out others and plan to do adult activities, definitely spring for a two, three or four bedroom unit.

This place is amazing. Our family has been coming to this resort for years and each time it feels more and more like home! The staff is very friendly and the restaurant is excellent. Great location within Cabo.

Loved loved loved this restaurant! We stayed at PB Pacifica during this trip to cabo, but Cascadas was recommended to us on facebook, and I’m so glad we tried it. The staff was absolutely wonderful and attentive. We went on a mexican theme night, the food was amazing, and the entertainment after was a great touch. My friend lost her phone that night, and we thought she left it in the cab to be lost forever. Upon our return home her husband received a text from the lost phone saying it was found in the beach at Cascadas and they would like to send it back! Who does that? Cascadas does!

Been a time share owner since 2000. And just purchased a second week. I got a «perpetual lease», renewable after 50 years. Let’s see, I’ll be 112 years old then. The first time share built on Medano beach back in 1985. The architecture of the buildings are creative. Interiors are all hand made, very organic, rounded walls, have fun quirky artistic features. Built as safe as bomb bunkers. Walls are 2 feet thick concrete. Never hear neighbor noise, unless the folks are on their patio and screaming like hooligans(not a frequent scenario). 2 pools with swim up bars. Drinks are typically Mexican strong. Restaurant food is okay, not resort fancy-schmancy spectacular. Employees are all long term, dedicated. Helpful, sincere, pleasant. Desk staff & bar staff speak English, but most of the maintenance people are Spanish speakers. If you’re looking for a low key, quiet, relaxing beach time share near downtown Cabo San Lucas, this place may be «it» for you. 1 bedroom suite, 1 time share week per year = $ 17,000 purchase price, plus $ 500 annual maintenance.

My dad has been coming here for 17 years. Comparing this to the place I was staying, it’s authentic. If you’re looking for 2014 modern, this is not your place. If you’re looking for relaxed and authentic, yes. Grounds: Perfectly manicured. Rooms: Clean and up to date with all the cutest personal touches. It’s all white inside and out. There are glass bottles in the wall, which are gorgeous. Look at the pictures on the website. It’s that good. And they have kitchens. Enough said. Food: Go to the restaurant and get the ceviche first thing. Just do it. It is THEBEST. Best ceviche I’ve ever had. Service: Everyone is really friendly. Pools: There are two. Neither are ever crowded. One has a swim up bar. And I’ve met some of the best people ever in both. Love it. Beach: THEBEST. Get down early to get a palapa. There are vendors, but just say«no gracias» and they won’t bother you. You can easily walk into the ocean and then back out(without being knocked down by the waves), which you can’t say for every resort. I loved this place. Having seen a few of the places in the area that are newer, I’d still come here every time. It’s fantastic. I am going to scrap and save to come back. If you go here, let me know if you want company!(It’s that amazing here.)
