An Xin’s Healthy Meat Shoppe

There was this hype on organic meat lately with people getting more health concious and out pop shops for healthy meat across PJ and KL. The pork they use are fed with less processed food and is under special care without any non natural food being fed to them. Initially when I stayed in Taman Megah, this is the only place I go to because it’s so conveniently located near the Taman Megah food court with plenty of parking near by.
The meat shop sells everything pork from bone, meat, bacon to sausages and the variety is exactly like what you get at normal pork shops. Their supply is fresh with the butcher who is very helpful to your needs. I was clearly a person who doesn’t cook that much and he gleefully guided me through on the type of meat to buy for my dishes. Not only that, they also have a rack for organic vegetables and also cooking spices to complete your whole grocery shopping experience. One note though, the meat are definitely pricier than what you get at normal shops, I think it’s about 1.5 or more of what you need to spend on normal meat. Healthy food comes with a price too.

I’m sure most of us would try to avoid going into a butcher, especially if they are selling pork. The strong smell of pork are sometimes very unbearable. I had the same fear when going into An Xin’s Healthy Meat Shoppe at Taman Megah. It is a corner shop located along the same row as La Manila.
I was very surprised when I went into the shop. It’s very clean and you can tell that they have made an effort to maintain the place’s hygiene. As for the smell, it’s almost not there. I won’t be expecting the place to be 100% odourless, but for a meat shopped it’s considered to be very good.
An Xin’s is an exclusive retailer of Pearl Pork and free range pork, which means the pork are healthier, lower in cholesterol, and no drug and antibiotic residue. Apart from fresh pork, they have roast item such as roast and BBQ pork, processed items such as ham and bacon, and dried items such as meat floss and meat slices.
