I’ve been to The Library a couple of times for catch up sessions with friends and also for a birthday party once. Before I knew about this place, when people mentioned The Library, I would be so puzzled as to why were they going there on friday nights. Only some time after I found out it was a restaurant/bar. It is quite a spacious place with tons of seating space. I’ve tried their food here and I am not impressed at all. This is because, it tasted really bland and for a restaurant/bar, the quality of food was really poor. I did not enjoy the food at all and I felt like I was wasting my money on it. The drinks were average as well as there was nothing to special about them. Overall, its just a chilled place to go to for drinks and simple food. i personally dont think I would be going back there.

I’ve been to the library several times and what seems to attract people seems to be the name itself. It seems like such a hypocritical name for a bar to be called. They have some good happy hour deals even when it’s not on happy hour, everything is pretty decently priced, nothing too over the top. Sometimes there are even a live performance going on, I would recommend sitting outside if you want a little more quiet. It can get pretty loud. I would usually get a beer or a tray of shots. The standard kind of drinks. The library is pretty much a place to have some drinks with friends or colleagues. It’s usually pack during Friday and Saturday nights. There are quite a few waiters and waitresses around as well.

Don’t be fooled, this is not an actually library. Except if the libraries you have beet to serve food, drinks and are called pubs :) The place offers live music at times, the food cost is pretty decent and at night it comes to life with lots of colourful characters. You can fest on a multitude of cocktails and mocktails plus if you are here before 10PM you can enjoy some good food before the party starts. Its a spot for get togethers, hang outs and just a good night out so have fun.

This is one of my favourite place to spend my Friday night. The pub is great for so many reasons. During day and early nigh they serve amazing food for a decent price. After the night goes down, around 10 pm the fun starts. in weekend they normally have a live band playing and creating a great atmosphere. If the band is not there, the music is incredible good, and is different every night. In regards to the menu you will have here a big variety of cocktails and drinks for everyone taste. You can also order a huge bear tank to share with your friends. The staff is very nice and friendly. I definitely recommend this place for a lovely night.

Although it’s called Library, it’s not an actual Library — there are definitely no book shelves with amazing books in this Library so don’t expect to hit on the sexy Librarian. HAHA! This place is a pub and restaurant, people come here for meetings over some drinks, food and music. Yes there’s live band playing here every other night so it’s a cool place to chill with your friends Besides everything else they have in this place, what totally got my attention was the big white horse! It’s the size of a REAL horse but it has a lamp on it’s head. It is one of the most extravagant lamp/light I’ve ever encountered in my awesome life — I think it deserves to be in my house! There are a few Library’s around KL but I go to this one in Mid Valley every time I meet my friend in Jalan Klang lama for a chill out session.

Now. I’m not an avid drinker… okay, maybe I am. Don’t judge. But what’s life without a little hangover every once in a blue moon? The Library offers an array of different cocktails and mocktails, even ranging from the sweetest notes of white wine to sultry bitterness of reds. They also serve dishes such as fajitas, steaks and different pasta dishes. Usually I come here for a cocktail or even a mocktail(depending if I’m still up for facing reality in full-force) every once in a while. Sometimes you just gotta treat yourself! My favorite is their Julianna Bel cocktail, which kinda tastes similar to a Pina Colada, but gives that extra ‘kick’, It’s pricey here, no doubt, but like I said —- TREATYO’SELF

No, you don’t come here to study. Instead, you come here to drink and be merry. Notorious for their low-priced drinks, urban yuppies visit this place after five, shoppers drop by for a drink on weekends. The Library is one of few places where you can drink in Mid Valley. It’s no-fuss but also uncharacteristic. So why would you want to?

This is where i always come for happy hours — not that i fancy the place a lot but apparently my friends do. They do have live bands here but they do not start that early — so if you’re here looking forward to that you can come slightly later. But if you are after the happy hours, then don’t miss those hours. They serve beer and cocktails in towers here, pretty good bargain but for cocktails, if you’re more into those cocktails which really give you a kick, you might not like their cocktails here as they are more to sweet than alcoholic. Its also good here that they are an actual restaurant here. This means that you could order really good snacks to go with your drinks — who wont want great food when and after they drink, heh? Their outdoor seats are pretty cool too, more open air and good for relaxing with friends.

This place is soo cool! I absolutely love what they made out of it, a cool pub restaurant with live music! quite dark but love it. you definitely wanna check it out! the service is good! and the drinks are awesome! I honestly would change anything about it, the outside space is unique, love the tables and the chill feeling, in fact that whole ground flour has many restaurants but this one is really cool if you want a pre-long night start :)

I have no idea how come I’m discovering this place just now! It’s not the food or drinks that capture my attention, but the atmosphere and the vibe at this bar/restaurant! You can enjoy live music with your dinner in the blue lights.:)) However, I have to say, their mushroom soup is another thing that makes me wanna come back ! And of course I can not leave this comment without appreciating their service and staff. Extraordinary friendly and professional. I really felt like they were trying to make sure that me and my friends were having a fabulous time! :)

The horse, you’ve got to talk about the horse with the lampshade on top of its head! One of my favourite watering holes which house a life-sized horse sculpture with a lamp on its head. After a bit of googling, I found out it was an rm20,000.00 piece of art by an artist called Front. Since finding out about this fact, I have made it a point to always be seated at the sofa right beside this humongous horse(my way of facing my own deathly fear of horses I guess.) My friend and I would usually go for the Carlsberg tower during happy hour which costs rm71 nett and just sit back on the comfortable maroon coloured leather sofas and enjoy catching up with each other or talk about the latest gripping biography that we just finished, it is after all, a library and we just wanted to fit in with the theme. If we do get peckish in the midst of our great debate on Schrödinger’s cat, the Cheesy Nachos is the way to go! With extra cheese of course! The menus are cleverly named encyclopaedias and the ambience does remind me of an old English reading room. The waiters and waitresses are also dressed as librarians with… wait-for-it…sexy librarian glasses! So the next time you tell your mom you’re going to the library to read some encyclopaedias, you don’t have to feel that bad, at least half of it is true.
