One of the places that I will think of when I want a good cup of latte as they do serve the blend that I like a lot — nutty with floral hint, and still carries a kick! Price of latte is still kept at RM10, which in my opinion is not on the cheap side, but since we are talking about artisanal coffee here, I think it’s fair. Publika is one of the malls that I hang out very often, so naturally I have to find a good coffee place to spend my time here too. But, Coffee Société isn’t just a coffee place, it’s until I learn from my friend that they do have set lunch promotions too! Prices for set lunch are really competitive, but do expect the portion to be slightly small — in my opinion. That being said, guys might not find the portion enough, for lunch. As part of the group that runs Garage 51 and Underground Society too, Coffee Société also has the messed up family series, which is the new line of messy milkshake which is supposed to shake up your life. I have tried the son earlier, but wasn’t a big fan of it. To be fair, it was sold at around RM18 for one of them, and it was really sweet. Of course, it wasn’t bad, and it’s actually good for sharing. They do have this special milkshake beverage lately that mixes the Mamee snacks in it too — watch out for the Mamee Monster!

When I first got back to KL, I was having a terrible time breaking apart from my coffee routine. I was residing in Melbourne for a couple of years and was accustomed to that city’s coffee standards so when I return to KL, a great cup of coffee is quite hard to find… until I’ve stumbled upon this little gem. Well, not exactly ‘stumbled’ per say as I’ve desperately Googled/bugged my friends/stalk coffee blogs for hours. Admittedly, I am very impressed with its quality and dubbed this place to be one of my go-to spots if I need to caffeine boost. This place is placed in along the café strip, alongside with Coffee Stain and other café shops along the walk. The story behind Coffee Societe started off with these two brothers who went to Melbourne and fell in love with the city’s coffee culture(who wouldn’t?!). I like to say that’s something these two brothers and I have in common — our love for coffee was seeded in Melbourne. I’ve tried three types of their coffee — Mochatella, Flat White, and Latte. The mochatella was interesting… with coffee iced cubes and hot milk with Nutella at the bottom of the cup. I only drink that when I am feeling sugar-ish. It was very sweet as expected so drinking that every day will push you towards the path of diabetes. I guess the reason behind this creation is to cater to Malaysian’s sweet palette. Our love for sweet things is probably one of the reasons why Starbucks is operating so well in Malaysia. It’s unfortunate that I’ve not tried any of their food so I cannot provide a reliable review about that criteria. Additionally, I gotta say that their service is pretty good. They’re very polite(greetings when you enter and a warm goodbye when you leave). One waiter even helped me arranged my laptop and battery pack(the table was really tiny and I was in quite a mess) before serving my coffee. So to sum it up: great place to go to if you are looking for amazing coffee and good service.

I was at Publika to see the 1600 pandas and when i was done decided to go get a cuppa coffee. Headed over to coffee societe and had some coffee and cakes. It was a sunday so obviously they were packed, we were lucky enough to get a table outside cause thats where we wanted to be seated. The coffee here is good, we also had the oreo cheesecake which was good too nice and creamy. the menu however I thought was quite limited and didn’t have much to offer. I would wanna try the main course one day just to see how good the food is. Saw many people eating so it must be good. This café is definitely noisy and busy so if you want a quite place to chat over coffee, this is not it.

It is true that Publika is truly THE place when it comes to great dining restaurants and awesome coffee bars, and one of my favourite café in Publika has got to be Coffee Société. I actually got to know of this awesome café through their earlier promotional efforts, free flow coffee sessions where with RM10 you get to drink your heart out!(I sounded like a cheapskate… hahaha). Hence, that is how I came to know about this awesome coffee bar, besides that, I actually became accustomed to their coffee as my other half liked their coffee as it is more of a light roast coffee beans which gives a smoother taste. Coffee Société is actually quite well received by the shoppers here as it is quite packed on weekends and even week nights. If you haven’t been to this café, you should actually allow yourself to visit this café at least once just for the sake trying out. I will definitely be visiting this café again.

A friend actually brought me here to hang out when we were at Publika. I ordered the mochatella which was coffee cubes, Nutella and milk on the side while he ordered a latte. The mochatella was absolutely delicious. Personally, I hate diluted coffee but even with the coffee cubes, my drink still stayed creamy and smooth. Definitely a must try when you’re here! We also ordered a brownie with ice cream which was slightly too sweet for our liking but I liked the texture of it– chewy and dense. It would have been perfect if they paired it with a less sweet ice cream choice. The waiter who served us was very nice and friendly. Sadly, I didn’t get his name. Overall, I had a good experience here and will definitely be back again!

RM10 meals are hard to come by in Publika, my colleagues and I are always on the lookout for the best lunch ‘value meals’ here. We heard about the set lunch at Coffee Society and decided to give it a try. They have a different set lunch every day and each main course comes with a drink, usually it’s coffee but you can also change it to ice lemon tea. The set lunch that was being served at the time was chicken chop and it was good. The chicken comes with a side of potato wedges and the wedges here are freaking awesome. The chicken was juicy and succulent, the portion was just right. It was a pretty good deal for RM10. I have to warn you though, the place is rather small so there are limited seat. This place is usually packed during lunch hour so you got to be fast otherwise you can wait until the lunch crowd has subsided. The promo is only until 2pm though if I’m not mistaken. To get your money’s worth, you can always ask the waiter what the lunch special is before you take a seat, that way you can decide for yourself if the daily special is worth the price.

I’ve been going to this place for about 3 years and I gotta say, the Latte has yet to fail me. As my daughter goes to daycare in Publika, I usually come here for a quick coffee fix. On days when I have some time, I would have the smoked salmon bagel because it is delicious. As far as coffee joints go, I find the prices quite reasonable, and the service very efficient. My only gripe is with their dessert selection. Step it up, you guys! Their cookies are also always too dry for my liking. Once they fix that, I will be lingering here a lot more, because coffee. They do their coffee very well.

Almost every time I am in Publika, if time allows, I will drop by this café, just to buy myself a glass of their Ice Hazelnut Chocolate. Yes, it’s so damn good! Although they’re famous of their coffee, but they are doing very good in their Chocolate drink as well! Unlike any other typical Ice Chocolate selling out there, Coffee Societe’s Ice Hazelnut Chocolate has a rich form of chocolate mixed with the Hazelnut syrup. I do enjoy very very much of this drink. Speaking of this, I should get myself one now!

Main coffee shop out of all coffee shops. I say this because of the shop name. LOL. If you’re into coffee, I guess this place is like the many coffee shops we find around town except that they serve Crème Brule. Pretty rare to find Crème Brule’s in coffee shops… unless I don’t walk into one often enough but yeah… really really random. For Crème Brule lover’s, you normally already have special places you go to just to get your fix — so incase you’re on of them, just take note that Coffee Societe sells em!

Fancy a cuppa coffee? Wish to pamper your sweet tooth with some desserts? Coffee Société it is! For now, this place is my favorite as you can smell the coffee aroma even when you are minutes away from the shop. The coffee aroma is that strong! Thankfully this coffee joint is in Publika where the parking is so much more convenient than many hipster coffee places that I go. Honestly, the place where you run your business does matters; well, at least for me it is. I’ve been here for a couple of times and with different group of friends. The 1st two visits were good where I got to experience their all-new(at that time) Mochatella which comprises of creamy Nutella, hot milk, and coffee cubes. Let’s just say that the combination is quite awesome and creative! It tasted good too! I had my all-time favorite Mocha the 2nd time where it wasn’t too sweet nor bitter; it is just nice for my liking. As for the ambience, it is good if you wish to chill with your friends but this place can turn out to be very noisy. Coffee Société is almost the perfect hipster coffee joint out of the others that I’ve visited until my last visit where I was disappointed with their red velvet cake. As I chomp a piece of it, I felt that the cake was left at the open for more than 2 days. It was that unscrupulous. If you can overlook the red velvet cake, this place is very nice!

First knowing this café was through the internet because some social network influencer went there for coffee, so this place turn out to be a quiet coffee shop to a well known coffee shop, their brownie was yummers! and their coffee is good, especially the coffee art, there is so many of them but then I only get to see few because if I have such time and money I would love to see more different coffee art haha, well their service and food is alright, and one thing to highlight, I think people came publika for coffee will usually pick Coffee Societe :) Will definetely come back one day for a cuppa with my friends.

This is one of the first few cafes I tried any Publika and the only that had an all you can drink coffee on Friday nights. It has been months since I have been back to the café so I decided to have breakfast there one morning. I can’t remember the name of the dish but it had an egg Benedict and macaroni and cheese. It was delightful but a bit too heavy for breakfast, maybe best for brunch. I had a flat white and it was as good as it used to be. I forgot to ask if they still do their all you can drink coffee because I wouldn’t mind paying for free flow of coffee again!

Get to know about this café way back when they still have this ‘free flow’ coffee promotion(pay RM10 for however much coffee you want). My first time here was with my colleagues who suggested that we go for their free flow coffee and get to know more about each other(I was new in the company). The three of us went there and had 3 cups each(maximum limit). All three of us tried their cappuccino, latte and mocha. I’m more of a latte person, while my colleagues likes their cappuccino(the one who prefer stronger coffee) and mocha(the one who likes chocolate in her coffee). Their coffee was smooth to my liking. The ambience of the café is very soothing too. We had a great time chatting and enjoyed their coffee very much. Hence, subsequently I brought my other half there for a cuppa hand crafted coffee. I was always there for their latte until one day I tried the Mochatella(coffee with Nutella) and fell in love to that. Ever since then, I’ll always settle for the Mochatella unless I wanted something hot. Whenever I’m at Publika, I’ll go there to get my caffeine fix.

Coffee Societe is perhaps one of the more quieter cafes I’ve been in in KL, and as the night fell and the ambience changes to a much more rustic feel rather than the modernistic touch that the place provides, the place becomes much brighter, and the service, decent and always willing to serve you. I ordered the brownie with ice cream, and am instantly surprised by the tasty, cocoa goodness that is the brownie that juxtaposes with the vanilla ice cream. Even though it is not as soft as it should be, the taste is marvelous, and is definitely a must try if you are there. Of course, their signature drinks will be its coffee, but their earl grey tea is nothing to be trifled with either, for its smooth and bitter taste is brewed to perfection, and should be tried by any tea loving personnel around town. Mmmm. Mmm. Mm. M. Nothing can be said other than just murmuring this.

Coffee Société was introduced to my by my friend. We had our gathering there; which is also the first café I dropped by at Publika. It is always crowded at night and we were lucky to get a table for 15 of us. Coffee Société provides a cosy ambience to people; however, due to too much people, it was noisy like a night market. So, I find it slightly difficult to talk with friends there. But, I guess if the crowd is lesser, the situation may change. Coffee Société serves great coffee, citing from one of my friends, who is a coffee addict. Well, for me, I still crave for my beloved hot chocolate. Other than coffee, Coffee Société serves pasta too. However, I have not try any, but my friend said its carbonara spaghetti was coated with very thick creamy carbonara sauce. She said it was a satisfying meal she had. And recommend us to try it next time. Well, we all enjoyed out gethering at Coffee Société; perhaps, next time we should change to afternoon as night is really too crowded, we can’t really hear what each other talked about. Still, the food and beverages were great with reasonable price.
