Chicken Rice Stall Opposite Yulek Wantan Mee

I’m really sorry about the name of this place but I really have no idea how to call it other than this. To find this place, it is real simple. All you have to do is find Restoran Yulek Wantan Mee and walk right across to a small stall with roasted and barbecued pork hanging from behind the country. It is usually quite pack during lunch hour. There are tables and chairs to have your meal there. Most people do, some do take-​away. I had their char siew (barbecued pork) rice and my companion had the asam (tamarind) fish. The char siew rice was just alright for me. The pork was a bit hard. The pieces were white in the centre and slightly reddish colour rounding it. It lacked a bit of sweetness to it. I like the rice with the soup. The soup comes along with the rice. I usually pour a spoon full over some rice to let it soften a little bit. What gave this place it’s three stars is the asam fish. The asam is a little spicy but it is very rich in flavour and has a good balance of sourness and spiciness. I caught myself stealing some of the asam sauce from the fish to add flavour to my rice.
