Bangsar Village II

One of the mall that I visit a little bit too much and always manage to end up shopping some new shirts and update for my wardrobe. The fact that this mall is so occupied with a lot of British fashion brands and that sort made it difficult for me not to feel like there are some clothes that I just have to get for myself — which isn’t entirely a good thing — self-​control, people!
As it’s called the #2, it’s actually linked to the Bangsar Village #1 via a sky bridge. With that being said, as they are adding a lot of restaurant choices in Bangsar Village II, there are far more restaurants and cafés in Bangsar Village I, not to be left out they do have Village Grocers there too.
In the centre area of Bangsar Village II, there is a grand piano which they often have performer playing for shoppers there. Conveniently, they placed a few chairs just beside the piano too, just the nice spot to sit down for a while and listen to some classical after some shopping. That being said, they have cafés at the same area where the piano is placed, few floors straight up as well. So, you could also pick your favourite café, sit down and enjoy a chilled out day.
There are a series of nail salons by Soong Ai Ling too, which Boudoir would be the higher end one, where you could have your wine and bubbly while doing your mani pedi. Other relaxations spots would be Thai Odyssey and a few other facial centres too, including Sothys.
Parking though, isn’t cheap here. So, make sure to check the parking rate, just to avoid getting a surprise when you’re leaving the mall.

I go to Bangsar Village II a lot because my gym is there.
There’s not a lot there in the way of shopping but there is a good selection of nail and beauty salons as well as being the home to Hammam.
It is not a must-​go to mall but rather the kind of place you would go to visit a specific store.

Bangsar Village II (BV2) is a shopping complex located in Jalan Telawi. It is the extension to Bangsar Village I. BV2 has a lot of high end shops and not much variety in my opinion. I only go here to park my car because it is impossible to find parking on Jalan Telawi. In my opinion, this mall is a little overrated because everyone says it is the place to chill and the best mall but I honestly dont see what is so great about this place. It doesnt offer variety in terms of shopping. It only has a few restaurants to choose from and the mall is usually quite empty. Overall, I feel that this mall is just A-​OK because I dont fancy anything it has to offer and the only thing I like about this mall is their parking. Even parking is ridiculously expensive on weekends but sometimes I’ve got nom choice.

Bangsar Village 2 is where i usually park when out and about in Bangsar haha! but yes i do actually go to the stores in Bnagsar Village 2. My favorite places would be Artisan and coffee bean. Also there are many interesting vintage stores here that are hard to find anywhere else.
Parking here is ample but full on busy days, but you will get a space in quite a short time. Also whats unique about this mall is the blind man that plays the piano in the concourse area. He is so talented and its amazing listening to him play. Sometimes we would just stop for a while and enjoy his music.
The Loaf at Bangsar Village 2 also has pretty fresh stuff and they are usually well stocked up. Most of the stores here are designer stores like Ted Baker. However the more affordable stores are just a bridge away at Bangsar Village 1!

Bangsar Village ll is not a village but a mall and they are prominent to be one of the ‘GREAT” /​«MUST-​VISIT» mall in Kuala Lumpur but it’s not the case for me. Don’t get me wrong, Bangsar Village ll is amazing, spacious and incredible spectrum of retails but however when it comes to parking. They totally FAIL, BADLY.
I was here today actually for a gathering so I decided to went for their parking and you know what? Their price are CRAZY!!! YEAH, you hear me! INSANE! I parked about 4 hours and guess how much it cost? Pick a good guess, RM 13!!! Plus, did I mention that I was turing their parking lot for about 3 – 4 rounds until I get to an actual parking?
Admittedly their price is nuts but then again, they are situated at one of the «most» visited place in town. Anyways, back to the mall. Unlike any mall their mall aren’t just spacious, fancy but comes with endless entertainment. Plus, their spec

Bangsar village came about sometime back to replace the old & run down mall Hankyu Jaya. Over the years bangsar village became a famous to the likes of locals & expats who live around the prime area of Bangsar. In this mall you might not find many retail outlets as per the bigger malls like mid valley & sunway pyramid, but you will noticed that they have sufficient stores for each category.
During the weekends I’m always in bangsar either catching up with friends or visiting family so I am pretty familiar with the place. I frequent the village grocer to get my weekly groceries and I also patronize majority of the cafes & restaurants around the area. Parking here can be difficult just like any other hotspot, however after a few rounds you would definitely find a lot.
The security in this mall is pretty good, where you have guards & attendants in the carpark at all times, so for the ladies if you ever need an escort to the car feel free to check in with the security counter.

When everyone tends to love Bangsar a lot, here is like another Sri Hartamas/Mon’t Kiara area to me. Although I was staying at Damansara Heights before and the nearest LRT will be Bangsar LRT, I seldom go Bangsar. Maybe only twice in 4 years? Hmmmm~
Back to the point, the first place I visit Bangsar was going to Bangsar Village 2. I never know there are 1 and 2, until the day I visited. I went there by taxi, just to get myself a part time job during uni time. Well, it was big and strange to me. I went to information center to seek for help because I don’t know where is the exact location of the store.
The staffs were really nice and friendly. Still, I was lost and need to ask another passerby. Forget about my personal get lost story, Bangsar Village 2 is a shopping mall that connected to Bangsar Village 1, just newer and more food! For a foodie, it is so excited to know there are restaurants and café everywhere. Not only that, if you love going to gym, Bangsar Village 2 has a fitness center too. I knew Bangsar is also a traffic jam spot. So, why don’t spend your time at Bangsar Village 2 instead of stuck in the jam? And also, compared to the Bangsar Shopping Center, here is much more cheaper.

This mall though not the biggest mall around, it is quite complete with all sorts of store in it. They have shoes, apparels, bags (backpacks), gadgets, baby products, book store, nail parlor (Colour Culture), pharmacy, saloon, massage parlor (Thai Odyssey), facial product specialty store (Ken’s Apothecary) accessories and so on. This mall houses a mixture of high end and mid range retail stores such as Furla, Ted Baker, Pandora, Lacoste, Wallis, Ben Sherman, Zara, Dorothy Perkins and so on.
In my opinions Bangsar Village II is somewhere I come mainly for food and beverages. There’s so many restaurants and cafes in it. This mall is hardly packed with people, hence it is quite relaxing to chill and dine here.
One thing I don’t quite like about them is their limited parking space. Especially during weekends. Though the mall is not packed, their parking is always full because many people tend to park their car here and went strolling at Jalan Telawi (another place filled with restaurants). However, for those who prefer valet service, good news! They Bangsar Village II do provide valet service.

I love Bangsar Village for its numerous good restaurants, baby-​friendly cafes and good supermarket (Village Grocer). I come here mostly on weekday mornings so I’m able to get a good parking spot inside. This mall has many baby stores too, mostly on the first floor. I love that they are grouped together, making it easy for parents to browse shop after shop rather than whizzing between shops if they were on different floors.
In terms of baby-​friendly cafes, there’s Marmalade and Fit-​for-​Two. Both these cafes are nursing friendly and serve nice kid meals. My daughter loves the baby pancakes at fit-​for-​two! Last time, they even used to deliver food to Kizsports & Gym which is right across from them but U haven’t been there in a while so I’m not sure if they still do that.
The mall also has a good layout and never feels very crowded even if it is (judging by the full parking garage and the overflowing restaurants!). It’s definitely a nice neighbourhood mall and even has some clothes shops like Zara and Ted Baker if you feel like doing a spot of retail therapy. I love the Village Grocer because although they are pricier compared to the hypermarkets, they tend to carry better organic food and have a wide international food range. There’s even a little bakery in the supermarket so you can literally get everything here!

Bangsar Village is a nice neighbourhood mall. Parking is aplenty and they even have valet service for days when you just can’t be bothered to find parking (not often now that I’m more budget conscious!).
I like this place as it is children friendly. The middle area is spacious enough for kids to run around, and upstairs, they have Kizsports, an indoor playground where you can let them loose.
I personally come here mainly for food. I frequent Marmalade when I’m out with other moms and their children (they have a play area for kids), and when I’m out with just friends, we either head to Delicious or Nutmeg. For coffee, I head to Artisan Coffee. For shopping, there’s Zara.
I also like that the place is connected to Bangsar VIllage via skybridge. It makes grocery shopping a breeze (Village Grocer).
Don’t try to come here on weekdays during lunch hour though. The parking is always backed up. Everyone parks here as it is close to all the other hotspots on Jln Telawi.

Bangsar Village II is the mall when I want to have a nice slow day, they have nice household stores but I mostly go for Zara, Warehouse, Dorothy Perkins, Aesop, Kens Apothecary and so on.
One of the reasons why I like it is because it is not an overly crowded mall which is a yes for me! You could also walk out to the streets of telawi and check out the boutique shops, restaurants and coffee shops that are scattered all over, you could never tire from exploring telawi as they are always changing and adding new ventures.
I find the parking to be a bit cramped and narrow, you definitely need to be confident and careful to be driving a big car to park there. At least they have ample of parking lots but you might have to go many floors down especially on weekends. You could always opt for valet but I’ve heard some bad experiences from friends of either items missing or scratches of the car so do be wary when you valet!

The reason why I like this shopping mall is that it is surrounded by nice cafes and restaurants in parallel Telawi streets. After your sunday brunch you can go shopping without having to get a cab and wasting time in traffic jams.
In the end this Bangsar experience can turn into the whole day of entertainment programme. The stores inside are fancy and of higher end brands, but you can also find Zara!
The other reason I love this shopping mall is that it’s never crowded and once you find yourself covered in shopping bags you can spoil yourself by an hour long massage in the royal massage place Hammam! Or if that’s a little too much, just get a manicure at Glitters and Waxing Salon!
