Shatenki Nigouten

Amazing choice if I do say so myself. I was wondering how good a restaurant can be with a Santa doll hanging out in front of it but yup Shatenki Nigou did the trick. Food was excellent. I came here after walking from Tokyo to Yokohama because I’m a savage and like to walk for ten hours and lose weight and then put all the weight back on the next day. Damn that was exhausting… Google said 6 ½ hours to walk. Wtf Google… Anyway Shatenki is a good sized restaurant with tons of options and with an attentive staff who wants to make sure he customer gets good food and good portions for their money. I went with the 3 seafood congee and yup a good choice with the infamous Chinese donut. I always prefer Chinese food made by a Chinese girl in shanghai who has been cooking since his mother and grandmother and great grandmother taught her how to be a dimsum wizard but I will happily say that this place has their fill of Chinese cooks who I got to speak mandarin with. So yeah. Definitely a fan. Next time I try to do a marathon like a crazy person or take the train to yokohama like normal people, I will choose Shatenki for a good dinner and affordable too for Chinese food in Japan. Way to go Shatenki
