Caviar House & Prunier Isetan Shinjuku

I had the caviar, salmon and a glass of champagne. It was good and the price was very reasonable. This is on the basement floor of the department store and is perfect for taking a shopping break. It is bar seating and there are only 7 seats.

I first had the Balik salmon tartar at De Rosa in Paris, and I have been looking for the product ever since. The Caviar House and Prunier carries a variety of fine seafood products including the Balik salmon. Unfortunately, there is no US location anymore. I believe there used to be one inside JFK airport.
I missed it during my prior travels, but I finally managed to get another taste this time in Japan. The Caviar House and Prunier seafood bar in Japan is located inside Isetan Shinjuku. You can sit down or purchase products to go. I opted to sit down to enjoy the salmon with caviar combination, and it did not disappoint. The complimentary salmon /​mayonnaise taster was also quite good, but a little less mayo may be better.
The food stores are usually located on the basement levels inside Japanese mall. The problem is the lack of seats to enjoy after purchasing from these stores. Restaurants, on the other hand, are usually on the top levels. This seafood bar offers a nice sit down place with great snacks after a long day of walking.
