Was at Hotel in May. Was a really bad experience and not worth the price at all. We did not know about private taxis and used a public taxi so it took quite awhile to find it. Even though it costs more use a private water taxi, use it as takes you to the door. Got to the room and The room was extremely small only about the size of a queen size bed. You could not open windows as you look into an alley. There was not enough room to put luggage for two people. Breakfast was included and end at 10:30 am. We got there at 10:15 am and there was no food. The only thing there was runny watery looking eggs. The waiter saw the expression on my face and ask if a problem. I said where is the food? He said he would get. I went to sit down. They did bring some sliced meats and cheese and vegetables. However with great attitude. This was a very disappointing hotel and don’t see how could be 4 stars.

The Palace Bonvecchiati is in a great location, very close to S. Marco but far away from the crowd. It is contemporary, but charming at the same time. The room was large with a walk in closet. At the restaurant we have enjoyed fish food and the view of the silent«gondola» traffic. The service both at the Palace and at the restaurant was impeccable with a warm feeling. We will suggest It to our italian and amercian friends.

Palace Bonvecchiati was not at all what I expected… breakfast was the same boring buffet every morning with few items for gluten free eaters. We realized the last day we were there that cappuccino can be ordered from the waitresses so you can avoid the line for plain coffee. Our room was hot and we couldn’t figure out the thermostat so we had to call the desk to send help… unfortunately the woman they sent didn’t speak English but at least our room cooled down. For some reason the lobby area was always hot and often had a sewer odor. Our room had the same bad odor. It was also very noisy in the mornings with deliveries outside our window. But on the plus side, if you like modern hotels you will like this one. Also, it’s located close to Saint Marks Square so that’s convenient and it was fun to arrive by water taxi. But I think it’s a ripoff when hotels charge for Wifi and I would not stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel during a recent 1st trip to Venice. It is unusually modern inside for Venice, perfectly located and has a very well equipped gym, which we were surprised by. The spa was also great, although i as confused why we had to book it. The room itself was very spacious, and it was cleaned twice a day(another pleasant surprise). The breakfast was good, not great, but the well made scrambled eggs(a rarity in hotel breakfasts) were delicious. we were also able to order a boat taxi straight from the hotel to the airport, which I’m sure you can do from most hotels in Venice, but I as pleased as punch. A few minor bad points — we shouldn’t be made to pay for wifi when spending so much for a room. The hotel bar isn’t much to speak of. And don’t tell me I need to pay a 5 euro tip for someone getting my bags from the store room, not cool.

The Palace Bonvecchiati was breath taking from the minute my water taxi pulled up to the side canal entrance and the door man was greeting me with buongiorno signore e benvenuti. Good morning it was and welcome indeed. The hotel had a very contemporary feel but did not lose it’s boutique styling. The suite was nice and cozy and the balcony view of the canal was just awesome. Every 5 minutes I had gondola’s passing by with tourists and couples being serenaded in Inglese or Italiano. Straight out of a novel or a movie was the feeling as I had a bottle of limoncello, bellini, and red wine accompanied with fresh proscuitto freshly sliced from the butcher 20 yards away. The staff was great and they handle all my needs and arrangements flawlessly with water taxi transfers to San Murano the neighboring glass factory island and anywhere and everywhere I needed. In between my good eats I utilized their full size gym as it was a good place to get some fresh air and burn some calories. Even when I’m working out the view outside of my treadmill window was stunning of the San Marco Square and the surrounding canals. semplicemente bello
