Delicious– spaghetti bolognese, house made lasagna, gnocchi with large shrimp and arugula! House red was great too. Even loved the little carafe it was served in. We ate outside on the canal. Service was fun and friendly. Food was fantastic. Try this place.

Our dishes were great and reasonably priced. The outside tables along the canal are first come first serve and inside seating are reservations only. Restaurant gets packed pretty quickly during dinner time, my squid ink pasta was good but I regret not ordering the seafood pasta which seems to be a big hit.

Great food at a competitive price, great location and full of locals. Please, make sure to make reservations in advance as this gets packed. One hostess speaks English and the other Spanish so that should limit your excuse not to call or show ahead to make a reservation. Make sure to order Seppie al nero alla Veneziana. A very traditional dish for Venezia.

A small place recommended by a Venetian friend. We were received by a nice hostess named Duny. Then the most friendly ever waiter took care of us. Flavio told us to forget about the menu. They could fix two courses of all the typical Venetian food for 60.00 Euros. I don’t know if it was all«typical» but it was great and impossible to eat it all between my wife and me. See the pics. Veneto wine was guzzled along(23.00). They offer a liter of house wine for 12 Euros. The only downside was that they put surimi in the insalata di mare. Gross, and the guy did not know that surimi is made in a factory somewhere. He though you could fish surimi in the wild. Curious thing: the place was full of Asian people. All pf them ordered the same entrees. Most of them show a website picture to the waiter while ordered. Probably the place was recommended by a blogger o something.

We arrived in Venice 48 hours ago and enjoyed this place as our first sitdown dinner in Italy. Everything from the host to the server to the food to the location was perfect. It’s a casual place right next to the grand canal. We came at sunset and happily watched as valporetti traversed passed the restaurant. I had the cuttlefish pasta with black ink sauce. Divinely delicious! Hubby had the frito mixto which was perfectly prepared and served over the lightest polenta. He loved it. We shared a bottle of Italian red which was delicious and so affordable(around $ 20). Loved this restaurant and would definitely be a regular if it were on my hometown. Highly recommend!

You can’t spell Venezia without this cozy neighborhood trattoria bar Pontini. Centrally located yet just a little off of the tourist path, this place breathes local flavor. Friendly locals, great kitchen and of course you can’t leave without having one or three spritzers!
