Saw a sign along the street in front of the place that said«YOUCANEATTHEPLATE!» I thought it was funny and went along our way to explore the rest of Torcello. On the way back, my wife and I stopped for lunch. There were a variety of menu items all with reasonable prices. Indeed they weren’t kidding about eating the plate! Our spaghetti and clams were served in a baked bread/cracker bowl. We also enjoyed an order of calamari, a couple glasses of wine, and gelato. Seating is all outdoors. Sit down and enjoy the scenery, including a small vegetable garden and goat house. There’s even a small playground for kids. Great last stop before heading back to the water bus stop!
